My Lasiodora klugi molted overnight.
About damn time as the last molt was... In May 2021... Well... That’s a long time, eh?
Anyway. I’ve had this spider for well over 2 years now and I guess it’s time to check if it’s a she or a he.
Well. If the spider takes this long between molts my bet would be on female as males mature more rapidly.
Also - this is the 10th molt in my care and the spider is still not that big.
Weird - I’ve heard they grow fast and reach great size quickly. might have something to do with it not being that eager to eat after previous molt.
She refused food for a few times between May and now. I’d say half of the time between molts the spider was on a hunger strike.
Well. I’ll give her a week to harden her new exoskeleton and then provide some fat roaches.
