You deserve a stuffed ant.

As I mentioned before, I don’t think enough people cuddle ants! I have here a solution, which I would like to share with you all.

I have not named her yet, but if you can think of a hardworking woman I could make an ant pun about please let me know!  I have attached the pattern and I’d love to see your own versions! I based this mostly on Lasius niger, the black garden ant you’ll see around the UK, but it’s a pretty generic ant, I think. I’m not an entomologist, just an enthusiastic amateur.

I’ve just realised I haven’t posted anything from current college stuff, so here’s a few of the illustrations I did for the last project !

This ant (black garden ant, Lasius niger) kept chasing and fussing with this little bug (some kind of aphid, they are on our honeysuckle and lupins) - not hurting it but it wouldn't go where the ant wanted and they kept going around, somewhat in circles, with the little aphid seemingly getting upset with being persued and pattered by ant antennae.
