For years, and particularly since his death, scientists and conservationists have been working relentlessly on techniques to bring his species back from the brink of extinction. They broke new ground in 2019 following the successful harvest of eggs from the last two females of his kind, Najin and Fatu, and eventual creation of three pure northern white rhino embryos. These precious embryos await transfer into a southern white rhino surrogate mother in the near future. ⁠ ⁠ Today we are asking you to help Sudan’s legacy be fulfilled and save the species from the brink of extinction. What a tribute to the last man standing. Sudan was the last male Northern white Rhino. I had tears reading the post honoring Sudan from one of his caretakers. He vowed to be his voice in spreading how important it is for earth conservation. I say a prayer for all of us... May man be aware, through Sudan’s passing, that extinction of a species Is possible. That even mankind can become extinct if we are not careful and respectful to one another, and all that exists on planet Earth. May we awaken, find unity, love, respect and honor each other no matter what creation we are. May we be more conscious and work as a team to better ourselves and in turn, better the world. Extinction is a term described by the human language"no longer existing".To those affected (the animals) it means crossing the other side with no assurance of ever coming back. My definition is that extinction is a rubber stamp that a present generation failed to appreciate and preserve its environment. Animals never understands the language of men,they never read or know what we are up to until we betray their trust on us thus leading to their extinction.they never read the messages,tags,posts, animations,blogs,commentaries,movies etc.No matter the hard words we use to refer to poachers and animals artifacts dealers,they still don't understand the language. In my case,Sudan is never aware of the thoughts I always have because of being always close to him and a caretaker. I believe the the only language animals understand,is the language of love,that aspect that makes us be their for them,no matter the circumstances or conditions.they understand when they are safe from evil people,they understand the language of sacrifice and commitment and that extra effort we put for their existence. It is ironical,that those who cause their extinction are the same that should guarantee their existence. Ironically,as we cause their extinction their will be 11 billion people by 2100.
