It's not often that it happens anymore but they've been working on easing back into things since starting dating again though it's not very much different from what they've already been doing. She will admit, however, that she's missed this. Just swaying back and forth with him. For a whole minute, she entirely forgets that they'd ever broken up. It's just so much like how things used to be. But she knows that's not the goal. The goal is to be better than last time.

For a moment it's just the soft music and the faint thud of their heartbeats she hears. She turns her head up and catches his lips in a soft kiss.

3. a coffeeshop - Reagan and Morgan

Reagan had scrounged up enough money to get one small cup of black coffee, and she’d been looking forward to it all day. She’d worked out when the shop was open, when it would be the coldest outside, and when she could get away with loitering the longest before heading into the building. After ordering her coffee, she filled it with heaping teaspoons of sugar and half a cup of cream for good measure and then prepared herself for that first warm and blissful sip.

She nearly spat it out on the floor. The fact that she didn’t meant that there should be statues erected to her in the town square. And when she saw that the man beside her was about to make the same mistake she did, she reached out and knocked the cup from his hand with her own along with the smallest of telekinetic boosts by accident. “Sorry - I’m sorry! But trust me, you don’t want to drink that. Not unless you want to use cream from the same night that Lincoln was assassinated; it’s rancid.”

( Duh, it's called common sense, but apparently everyone lost that when they lost their damn minds. )

Really the only ones being taken out by this are immunocompromised people. A lot of them tend to be geriatrics (which makes sense). Hence, masks if you have to be around people when you’re sick. Otherwise, they want you to stay home and make sure you wash your hands if you show symptoms.
