“Joker’s being oddly wholesome. He’s up to something.”
@laughter-in-white said: "I'm lonely and Batsy is mean. Can we make out?"
“Ain’t he yer nemesis er’ somethin’??” He’d shrug. “Yeah alright, just try not ta drool on m’ jacket too much, will ya?”
@laughter-in-white
Having worked at the asylum for a few years, her senses have become sharp and able to pick up even the slightest difference in a room. Eliza bolted up in her hospital bed and looked around the room.
“Who’s there?” she whispers.
@laughter-in-white said: "Really? What is it, then? I wanna see!"
“I’m not some-” well he was about to say ‘clown’ but that might be a bit too on the nose. “No,” he says simply.

“Your other self? What do you mean? Like an alter ego? Or is it a figurative expression? Like your extra kinky self?” Joker had a lot of questions. “You’re going to out-kink your shadow tentacles? That’d be kinda hard. Y’know what shadow tentacles remind me of? Slenderman. Do you know ‘im? Is he real? What cryptids are real? Do people hire you to look for them?”
He may have lost track of the original question.
“Cor blimey, mate, slow th’ ‘ell down, will yeh? Yeh s’posee to be th’ one answerin’ th’ bloody questions, not askin’ ‘em!” John pointed out, his voice once again colouring with exasperation. Gods, that was his basic mood around Joker. “Christ, I dun even remember e’eryt’in’ yeh jus’ asked me.”
That was a bit of a lie, because, despite the tons of inquiries the clown had blurted out, the things that needed to be addressed were very few.
“First o’ all, I dun gots an alter ego. Tha’s somet’in’ tha’ capes n’ th’ likes o’ ‘em give to ‘emselves. I think it’s a bloody daft ‘abit. N’ I wasn’t talkin’ ‘bout...upgradin’ me kinky skills. I gots a few weirder tricks up me sleeve than those shadows...jus’ for th’ record. I meant another me, as in another version o’ meself.”
He bit back a sigh. “Chum, ‘m a fuckin’ occultist, not some twat tha’ goes ‘round ‘untin’ monsters. ‘Cause to tha’ willingly, yeh gots to ‘ave a bloody deat’ wish or a rotten brain. N’ ain’t tha’ Slenderman t’in’ like a urban legend kids use to scare each other these days?”
@laughter-in-white | continued She points, making herself clear. “I’m only sharing my notes, because embracing his royal bi-ness self might help him be honest and true.” She flips through her sketchbook, landing on a page of brainstorming. “One: Loving B means loving the city itself. You have to have multiple philanthropic pursuits to rival his own. This cannot include criminal employment; your business and union must be mostly legal with a minimal mortality rate. Other areas to pursue can include: saving the world and regular heroics preferably with no killing.” Another page flip. “Two. You’ve got this one down already, J. Be ever-present. He barely has enough time to sleep and heal his wounds, the attention he gives will more often than not be shared with on-going cases. Plans will pile up, but hold him to his word and he will try his best to catch up.” She winks at him, but the next one fades her smile to something grim. “Three. Family means everything. This, unfortunately, does mean a whole nest of birds and bats that perpetuate this fantasy that he can continue this lifestyle of anonymity without consequence. Everyone knows who Zorro is, and he defends his family, his home and his state fine.” She shakes her head, cutting herself off from the tangent. “Befriend his exes and super-friends if you like, but--earning the kiddies’ respect is likely the way to proceed.”
“Lastly, clue four. Hurt him, but heal him too. A little aftercare. You must know you’re his type. Cuttingly honest, full of hard-driven questions. Tall, well-compact, two-toned and morally torn.”
@laughter-in-white has liked for a starter with Bruce Wayne!
Bruce was exhausted. Jaylad had been sick the past few days, curled up in Bruce’s bed as he burned up with fever. It was the first time the boy had gotten sick since he’d come to live with Bruce, and the Bat would be the first to admit the concern was throwing him off of his game. “You’re going back to Arkham, Joker!” He seethed, swinging at the pale man once more, silently cursing as the punch missed.
God, he needed some sleep.
