Honestly I am very much into this. Hiking the Himalayas and then setting up a camp at the base of Mount Everest?? Adventure Honeymoon with the Mountain man. He is having a wonderful time just being with you but he also loves how much you like to help him out. Setting up the tint and roughing it...sometimes literally...shows just how much you two work together. Maybe if you are lucky you can take him to one of the towns close to where you are camping, Nepal has quite a few smaller villages and sometimes its great to be around locals and learn about their culture. It could also be teaching moments too. Muriel, in my opinion, has an appreciation for others culture at least even if he doesn't like people that much. I believe you will get him to not only relax more but also talk more too.
