Letting my thoughts out about ASMR and the Artists.
I have been listening to ASMR for years now and maybe that could give me like a pass to criticize audios ykyk (I just wanna let out my concerns TvT) not just criticize but also let out the growth of ASMR throughout the time.
Many many asmrtist have been growing a lot lately considering it's becoming a mainstream now on tt or ig and making memes and skits abt it like listening to mommy ASMR as a grown ahh man (the gym bro ones)
Now it's then becoming normal/wasn't weird if you mention you're listening to ASMR nowadays rather than hiding that truth like a furry back in 2017. The growth does not only applies to the listeners but the artists themselves ! How cool was that ? Now I just want to say that these new growing asmrtist NEED to put the effort ! ! !
Here are my own tips for the growth
GENUINE: Listeners especially the experienced one can immediately tell if the voice is faked or not, I can guarantee not everyone likes deep voice so if you think that your voice was not the 'standard' to women, promise it's not. Most ASMR Listeners were a whole different breeds of multiple likes and dislikes when it comes to the audios, you could have an Aussie accent and no one could care but appreciate the true art ! So to everything you do, be genuine and be yourself.
SFX: Honestly I don't wanna listen to a deep fried voice with dry sfx ? ! Well it's because the sfx are optional, always put two audios with and without sfx for more options for people with certain preferences. This includes the sound of the slapping/mwah/and the boombayah part. Also pro tip if you're doing a heavy plot it's actually such a blessing to hear certain sfx that makes the listeners believe they're on THAT scenario, examples including the door cracking, walking, rain, and background noise like TV, of course it should be related to what the Speaker was doing, adding music during the boombayah is NOT and WILL NEVER be a good option unless it's on the script.
STORY: Not only the sfx ofc, the plot should also be considered, pick a good script or make your own are your only choices, if you're a growing asmrtists for starters you should go on scriptfill if you think you can't make up a good plot at first. For quick ASMR uploads there ARE certain tags with quickie or a ramblefap, those that doesn't require much plotline. But for me I listen to ASMR while sleeping so a good slow burn are such a banger. Always have a wide range of audio plot, examples could be the speaker being the boyfriend, the friend, the barista, the neighbor next door etc. a good variety of audios are good for the lisneters.
COMMUNITY/SITELINKS: Pick a good community to post the ASMR on, top example is obviously GWA on Reddit, artist could also look at their fellow artists works, and for the audio uploads the best one in all time is soundgasm, it's the easiest access for listeners and it require us no other buttons and lag, the main link could be on audiochan/hot audio etc but a soundgasm link should and would always be there (it's mandatory atp).
PROPER TAGS: Now in GWA there is a rule for putting the appropriate tags for listeners to be aware of, but there are also solo ASMR artist that doesn't go on with any communities, TAGS are the most important. Listed below is an example format.
[M4F] [Tags that may trigger/heavy warning for the listeners] [Kinks included] [Role of Speaker and Listener] [Plot/places] [time(very optional)]
[MM4F] [Exhibition] [Hair pulling] [Msub/Mdom] [Fsub] [Couch] [Slow burn]
These are the important tags that should be considered, additional are the positions but eitherway always include the warnings, the names used in the audio are also recommended to add, this will help listeners with preferences when it comes to name calling, and possible avoid trigger words.
That'll be it for now, this massive paragraph is just a fellow listeners opinion, I'm half serious about these but with all due respect these are just my opinions, if you have any thoughts on it lmk ;p, love lots.
