do you know any langst fics that deal with like lance having been abused by like a family member or anything and the team finding out/hearing about it? or like lance just casually accidentally saying something about a family member that is super fucked upTM and the team is like ?????!! u oky buddy? as an abused kid I eat fics and posts like this up ngl (kinda like that one post on here where his uncle was horrible when he worked on the farm with him, like just give me the abused langst)

hello my friend I have read a couple abused!lance fics but none of them are really… handled well, if you know what I mean. The topic is usually… The writers usually don’t do research on the affects of abuse and what it’s like to live through abuse and how a person generally takes abuse, and in general they end up writing stuff that either isn’t realistic or ends up making you want to cry. I’d suggest though not reading abuse fics to normalize what is/has happened because instead of helping you cope it will just make you feel bad for reacting the way you do/did and will just make everything worse. Sorry that I can’t help, but I hope you find what you’re looking for. (more so than that I hope you recover because I get that and relating to a character can often be really important and i wish you well my friend). Sorry again:/
