Elysium isn't a big believer in cosmic coincidence or anything like that. They do acknowledge there are forces at work that most aren't aware of on a day to day basis, though. So whether by chance or design, everything has played a part in getting them to this point. Not just this gallery, but this stage of life, of creative growth and mentorship.
Cam McCormick is their primary mentor, of course. Vampires, their muse. But the artist is surprised to see another familiar face at the gallery -- the woman who pointed them on the right path in the first place. As innocuous as a rock in the stream, still its presence changes the flow of water over the riverbed. What had compelled her to recommend Elysium turn their eyes to Exquis in the first place? Even if it hadn't worked out the first time the girl submitted their works... everything is a step on the journey towards standing here.
Elysium catches a moment to step from their paintings and approach the other woman, stately and guarded as if she were observing the gallery from an ivory tower. She seems a patron of the arts as much as someone intimately familiar in her own right. The young painter approaches with a casual reverence, not expecting the woman to have thought about them ever since.
"Hi, ma'am. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the painter Elysium. I wanted to thank you for telling me about Exquis. It... it really opened up a new world for me here in Port Leiry."
