also thought this was funny but I look you up so much that my lavender in my keyboard auto corrects to lavendernlilac… I might have a problem… ANYWAY!

I can’t imagine what grians heat was like. a whining fit (not in a good way AT ALL) while he scratched at the floor desperately before just curling up tightly and not even having the energy to have a proper heat and whatnot because no nest is messing SO bad with his instinct.

then he has a first proper heat witj scar when they get actual together and and he just sobs. burrowing deep in his nest and scars chest as scar tried to comfort him.

I love me some spicy heat stuff but the physical mental intimacy hits me like a freight train. like I melt at the idea of the non pleasure part of heats bc it’s so fluff coded and EEE!!!

grian’s time with the watchers was… so bad.

he goes from leader of his flock (evo peeps) to plaything for the watchers to new member of hermitcraft. like he had all these connections. his sister, his brother, mumbo

he was responsible for his siblings, even if he was the middle child. because he was an admin. evo was his flock

and when the watchers set their eyes on grian, wanted him to exist among their own, and they threatened to destroy evo if he didn't listen, grian still felt like he failed them anyway

he just. disappeared. his flock was without a leader. and I think pearl stepped up in his place, fighting her own grief. and then they all escaped evo, went their separate ways, and pearl and jimmy bounce around for a bit until they find the empires crew

all while grian was with the watchers. his code has been changed. his wings are changed. perfection is forced upon him and he's trapped. and they don't even know he's an omega. not right away

the watchers don't realize he's an omega until he has a heat. and they simply click their tongues in disappointment before locking him away, leaving him to go through it alone. it’s this really dark and cold room, where grian can barely see his own hands in front of his face. :( he scratches at the floor, whines, and he’s so deep in heat brain that he cries, curling into himself. not having a nest really messes him up ;-;

it's, well, it was an oversight on the watchers part, but that's fine. they can make due. and when grian escapes them, the need to be perfect has been ingrained in his brain

the watchers exist in the void, and they aren't corporeal beings, then grian gets back into his player body that it's such a shock to his system -- and I think the thing with his heat happens before his code is fully changed and he becomes a full fledged watcher. so when he escapes to hermitcraft, that first heat he has is intense and really rough on him

I think when it first hits a) he doesn’t tell anyone, just locks himself up in his base and hunkers down for the worst week of his life. b) he instinctively forgoes making a nest because he went without one for so long. and it only makes things worse for him. it’s not until mumbo comes to check on him that he finds grian curled up on the floor in the midst of his heat and he doesn’t look well :(

mumbo immediately sets out to fix this—he gets grian blankets and pillows so he can make a nest (and and has to gently encourage him that it’s okay, he’ll feel a little better, he’s allowed to do this). he leaves to get grian some food and water, and when he comes back, he finds grian a total Mess. he's bundled in blankets, the lights are Full Blast, and he hasn't moved. he’s got a death grip on those blankets

from then on mumbo kinda takes it upon himself to check in on grian during his heats

I just imagine grian when he's free later, always making nests with everything he can get his hands on, skittish and desperate, or the fact that he doesn't like to have the light dimmed, no matter how much of a headache it gives him

but then his first heat with scar,,,, (and we’re not talking about the one in secret life. smiles) scar is so gentle and encouraging. he helps grian make his nest, gives him his own pillows, blankets, even clothes. and grian is really emotional about it, ends up laying on scar in their nest and crying. he clings to him and scar comforts him the entire time, telling grian how perfect their nest is, that he did such a good job. grian’s instincts are Very happy, meanwhile he’s breaking down in scar’s arms

I love the physical intimacy aspect of heats because it really is just so soft uwawawawa. the close cuddles, scar purring loudly at grian because he’s just so comfy and content, grian curled into his side and feeling so safe,,,, they’re in love your honor, and I’m putting them through the horrors /silly
