Unfortunately one of the restrictions it does have is on nsfw content

DA absolutely will be a good host for people wanting someplace to stash their fanart, or to host images for use on Ao3.  But they don’t allow explicit n sfw content, and that’s what’s being explicitly targeted right now.  Even though everything is falling victim to bad algorithms, what we absolutely will be losing is the adult side of visual fandom.

Contrary to what staff claims, there isn’t a good alternative for fandom right now where our p0rn fanart stash is concerned.  Most alternate image hosts don’t allow n sfw content either, it’s in the tos.  Which is why I’m wishing we had our own archive just for art, across every fandom.

They typically buy at least half a dozen of each shirt that gets used on screen. Accidents happen, they may need to wear a shirt for multiple days of filming and it needs to be laundered or whatever, or they get dirty/injured in one scene that films before they need to be wearing it "clean". They've got a wardrobe warehouse filled with multiple copies of pretty much all the shirts we see in regular rotation. Stealing ONE won't mean it can't ever be used on the show again, because they've probably got at least half a dozen more. :)

I feel the same way so often. In the process of changing my SSRI to see if that will help. The one thing I always tell myself is that this feeling always has an end even if it feels super far away. Don’t be ashamed to distract yourself, isolate if that helps, and generally not do all the right things. However, if you have the spoons, try to work in one of those good things each day, however small. It helps build you back up eventually.

*hugs* Yeah, as someone who is familiar with the feeling I know it’s a brain trick and eventually ends, but while it’s on it’s not, well, great. Especially since I went without major depressive episodes for a long time (pre-menstrual bad days don’t count lol) so it’s kind of scary that it’s happening again. I’m not on medication or anything ever since bad experiences with mental health professionals, so I just need to hope it goes away on its own.

One thing happening during Inktober is that I’m noticing all the neat things I can do with traditional, and then being frustrated that I don’t know how to translate it to digital.  I’m still so clumsy with a tablet.  

Meanwhile, I’m also learning that some of my frustrations with ink in the past have been about tools.  I bought a yellow and a green this week, and rapidly discovered that what I really wanted was three to five of each in different intensities, like I have with my six pack of greys.  

ART, MAN.  WTF.

Distilled water has been suggested to me by several folks, so I am giving that a try.

I spent an evening going through each of them, tallying up the results, and found that 91% of peeps reported it helping a lot, less the 1% had bad reactions,  and the rest either reported no help or minimum help. I figured it was worth trying, I can mix it in his food.

Can I hire them to protect my garden this summer?

We can probably arrange something. But getting one of your own, or a dog, might be less traumatic for you and your family. As ya know, that circle of life thing with less singing and more screaming kits.

Putting this behind a cut as apparently this can be sort of traumatic if you didn’t grow up with indoor/outdoor cats.

Cats are weird creatures. Hunting is instinctual, eating what they kill is not.

Luna eats what she kills, most of the time. But this does mean she has been known to find birds nest with unfledged chicks and eat the entire nest. Climb the tree, find the snack bar, climb back down, have a snack, repeat. Hope you weren’t terribly attached to that family of starlings.

She does not like snakes, and will mostly kill them before depositing them on the main stairs for you to step on, barefoot, so you can have a freakout. as your parents walk up to the door. (no, i’m never going to be over that. it was AWFUL. Probably worse for the snake, but ya know, BAREFOOT + ONLY MOSTLY DEAD.)

Ambush just... kills things, poorly. and drops the corpses behind the couch for you to discover several days later. Yes, this was also awful, but more in a ew-gross-rotting mole sort of way. He also leaves presents at the entrance to his dad’s room.

(Not pictured) Eppie sometimes eats what she kills, sometimes not. But she’s also the oldest, calmest, and less likely to terrorize you in your sleep.

The tridents are damned hard to find. I checked with several bartender friends who pointed me to dozens of online and brick and mortar stores. No luck. Wound up buying a set of 20 assorted vintage cocktail stirrers off eBay to get one. But Mark made my husband stand up and spin 'round to show off his fully accessorized Crowley cosplay at NashCon, so it was money well spent.

That’s amazing :D 

Did your husband get loads of refills for the drink? I wouldn't care that it’s part of the costume - I’d keep accidentally drinking it :P It’s probably quite a dangerous cosplay...

Also thanks for confirming Crowley totally kept the original one since 10x02

The Tower of Terror is my favorite ride! I actually love all of the atmosphere of the line on the way to the actual ride. The hotel interior is just amazing! One time I was looking for hidden Mickeys. My sis and I were stopped just between the 2 elevators. Letters had artistically "fallen" from the sign, and the gathered letters at the bottom read "Evil tower U R doomed" :) :) I shrieked and pointed it out and caused a stampede of other people to check it out!

Yeah, the walkthrough was super fun! It went really fast for us so we didn't get to fully appreciate it, but I really appreciated the ambience and the attention to detail.

This is the most brilliant idea ever. It'd probably be hard on your clothes but I'd still do it.
