-Bree and Chase positively OWNING Kaz and Oliver at pranks bc they grew up with Adam and bionic pranks are on another level. Kaz and Oliver hadn’t even stuck a toe into the icy waters of superpowered pranks, they don’t stand a chance

-We don’t see or hear from Adam and Leo but I like to think they too are growing into themselves and learning and all four of them have an even better relationship together than ever. They text all the time and keep each other updated on shenanigans

-Bree texting covert pics of Chase and Kaz from the first ~moment~ literally no one but her realizes even happened to Adam and Leo bc neither of them know yet but they TOTALLY have a crush how does she help them not blow it?

-They are all excited that Chase might be interested in a guy they KNOW isn’t a douchebag and Bree is constantly plotting behind the scenes to get them closer

-She just wants to see her weird little brother happy, okay?

-(she is completely blindsided when Chase randomly asks when she’s going to ask out Skyler already. (and she thought Kaz and Chase were oblivious…embarrassing))

-Also throw back to the „I don’t know, I was raised in a basement/that’s just what bionic people do“ joke from an old post. She and Chase pull that out way too often. Kaz and Oliver never put it together. They still think the siblings used to drink dish soap to „clean their inner machine parts“ when they were younger.

Hey! So I’ve only recently discovered Legally Blonde the Musical (can’t believe I didn’t discovered it sooner!), and needless to say, I’m obsessed with it! I discovered your blog and love reading your headcanons! Anyway getting to the point of this ask: I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind talking about the moment when Elle fell for Emmett. I’ve seen lots of posts about the moment Emmett fell for Elle but not much about the other way around. Thanks and sorry for this long ask 😝!

so here’s the thing: Elle was falling for Emmett for a lot longer than she realized. but she was still wrapped up in Warner and trying to do well in school, and she was just grateful to have such a sweet and supportive friend in Emmett. he helped her when most people around her turned their backs, and he never assumed that because of her looks and background that she didn’t belong at Harvard and wouldn’t succeed if she tried.

and there were a lot of little things, little moments, between them that Elle brushed off as just nice friend actions. his genuine happiness and pride when Elle started to turn around her performance in school? the reaction of a friend/tutor who was happy to see results of all their hours of studying together. a bottle of 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner for Christmas to make her beauty routine more efficient? a very sweet gift from her friend who, clearly, knew nothing about hair care. Emmett’s going with her and Paulette to get Paulette’s dog back? just another instance of how supportive he was, and a good friend to be there for the two of them.

throughout that whole school year, Elle learns so much about the kind of man Emmett is. he’s driven, kind, funny, supportive, deeply intelligent, desperate to rise to his full potential to show himself/his mom/Callahan/the world that he could, and a genuinely good person and sweet friend. so when she takes him shopping, she knows that it’s her job to help him unlock the same potential that he’s helped cultivate in her throughout the past few months.

she doesn’t want to change him or mold him into being a clone of every other Harvard lawyer, but she knows that if she can help him change his appearance to match everything inside of him, then he’d be that much closer to reaching the success he so longs for. and the moment when Emmett steps out of the dressing room finally looking amazing in his suit and every bit the successful lawyer he was destined to be is the moment that Elle’s perception of him changes and oh wait he’s super hot.

she spends the next few minutes feeling kind of dazed as she reflects on her time with Emmett over the course of their friendship. she starts to realize that moments that she thought to herself, “what a nice and supportive friend Emmett is!” were, deep down, times when she felt like she was getting a crush on him, but she ignored those feelings and brushed them off because winning Warner back was still so important to her.

what comes clear to her in that moment, too, is that she’s not looking for another clone of Warner. sure, Emmett resembles him in the dark suit, but he also resembles any respectable lawyer. Elle wants someone kind and supportive and determined and sweet, someone who doesn’t care about what others think of him and his appearance, someone who cares about helping others and lifting people up. she knows she doesn’t want Warner anymore, she wants Emmett.

and as they’re leaving, Emmett turns to hug her and wait, what was that? Elle hesitates and goes for the hug because  Emmett wasn’t going for a kiss, was he? of course not. definitely not. she hugs him back and brushes it off, because there’s no way that he just tried to kiss her. though if he had...well, that was something to think about later. for now they have a trial to win.

it’s been a day since lindsey broke the electric skillet. to make it up to stevie, lindsey decides to cook dinner once again. stevie walks into the kitchen and sees lindsey attempting to cook. “what are you making?” lindsey looks up with a grin and shows stevie whats it the pot. its just tomatoes in boiling water. “im cooking tomatoes!” stevie slowly nods and steps out of the room. she begins to cry. “who just cooks tomatoes,” she whispers to herself. she flees that night, escaping what would have been boiled tomatoes. lindsey realizes shes gone and cries. all because he broke the electric skillet.

ok wait remember in s1 when chase slipped and said mr. davenport in front of marcus instead of dad and marcus pointed that out? Just imagine that scenario- Marcus, who was raised(?)by an Involved Dad and is concerned about the implications that either a. they dont feel comfy enough to call him that or b. he doesnt let them call him dad, both r concerning. Now im imagining an au where marcus tells douglas this and he(steals)*saves* the kids much quicker, yes i know this is pre redemption shut up

I’m pretty sure that’s what Marcus was thinking for a moment löl like „wtf is up with your family dynamics man?“

My personal head canon tho is just that Donald didn’t really see himself as a dad at first bc wtf he just suddenly has three super powered babies he Did Not Plan For This and any employees involved would’ve called him Mr. Davenport so the kids just latched onto that.

No one was saying „go to dada!“ it was „Go find Mr. Davenport!“ And it just stuck. „Mr. Davenport“ is their version of „Dad“. Feelings are the same. Does not translate well outside the basement tho lmaö

hey Elliott how do Elle and Emmett spend their first new year's eve together?

well their very first new years is during Elle’s first year at Harvard. she stays in Boston and studies a lot, but she and Emmett agree to a night off for new years eve. originally they were going to spend the evening with Paulette watching movies and the ball drop at Emmett’s apartment, but when Paulette realized it was only going to be the three of them she conveniently caught a cold and bailed at the last minute. 

(the phone conversation ends with, “ELLE, don’t worry about me! It’s just a cold, I’m fine, but I don’t want to infect you and your cute tutor who gets you hair products for Christmas! No, no, I’ll just stay in, but you two have fun. Happy new year!” complete with lots of exaggerated coughing and wheezing, and Paulette hanging up before Elle can argue more.)

so she goes to Emmett’s and they order pizza and watch 80s movies up until about 11:55 when they switch over to watch the ball drop. they count down, pop champagne, hug at midnight (only for slightly too long for it to be strictly platonic), call their parents to say happy new year, and put their movie back on. an hour later, full of snacks and champagne, Elle falls asleep and her head drops onto Emmett’s shoulder. he doesn’t move a muscle until she wakes up on her own and sheepishly asks if she can stay on his couch that night instead of getting back to her dorm in the cold.

the next morning they get up late and find a place to have brunch. in the afternoon, Emmett insists on having at least one decent study session, and they sit in her dorm and go over legal terms and cases. that part is boring, but they love spending time together, even for studying, so they don’t really mind.

their second new years together goes almost exactly the same except for a few key differences. they spend it with Paulette and Kyle (though Paulette still maintains that she had the most terrible cold last new years), pop champagne, kiss at midnight (only for slightly too long to be done around company- that is, until they notice Paulette and Kyle going for even longer), and, when they finish their last movie, they go to bed together and commemorate the new year with fun, tipsy sex. 

they go out for brunch again the next day, but Emmett still insists on studying by the afternoon. Elle would rather do almost anything else, but she wouldn’t change her sweet boyfriend for anything.
