Bracing myself for the final episode of the season. This is just a rough sketch that I wanted to share. Tried some perspective stuff that I think I’ll have to reorganize, but I just loved the idea of undead Mega-Charizard X Viserion! ^^
"Sunset Paladin" (Gouache/ink study). Doodled my protagonist with gouache and ink in combination. I love working with colors like this, such a different style than the ones I'm used to and it's so much fun to play around with!
DIGITAL ART: “Les Aventures de Paladin”
I’ve discovered a new way to fully keep my original lineart when I work digitally. It saves so much time, rather than having to redraw the entire drawing from scratch and it also looks and feels a lot better, I think. Furthermore, it also gives me a direct incentive to keep practicing and developing my actual, real-world drawing skills, instead of “cheating” in digital polishing. So that’s nice. ^^
This is an “Adventures of Tintin” homage, with Paladin and Duckdog. It just made sense as “action pose”-practice and I have always really loved Tintin, so it was a lot of fun to draw. ^^
