Prompt from le-akatsuki
Pairing: SasuSaku Theme: extremities
The cherry blossoms seem to shine their best enveloped in cold darkness.
The pink flowers with their delicate feathers are beautiful in broad daylight, with the soft rays of a bright sun casting light upon them, illuminating the hues. The gentle breeze on a spring day blows and disturbs them, the light force sometimes causing a few petals to blow off.
They gently float as they are carried by the wind until they land, pink on blue streams, pink on green grass, pink on grey sidewalks. Yet they still retain their beauty even when separate, even when dying.
Yet it's in the absence of light and warmth that they're the most beautiful.
It's when they prove to be strong that they shine the most, when light is gone and cold reigns. The pink hue still remains, the delicacy is still there and the blossom holds out until conditions turn favorable again.
There is nothing more beautiful than a pink cherry blossom that can withstand anything, prove that it isn't simply a pretty flower, a lovely decoration. The ability to be versatile, to adapt to extremities is a distinguishing feature, something admirable and lovely about it.
