the thing about lan and ehir is that ehir often wants to kill lan with hammers, but would rather eat both of his own hands than actually do that. and lan is obsessed with ehir beyond all reason or reckoning, without, like, any nuance or caveats whatsoever. and collectively what they have going on is not romantic or platonic OR a secret third thing. somehow in fact it's all three of them at the same time. and also none of them. and everyone around them is subjected to this dynamic unfortunately
