6 tools to make your life easier as an entrepreneur
Blogpost by: Inês Santos Silva - Co-Founder of Startup Pirates
These days there are great tools out there for early stage entrepreneurs and more mature ones. I know it’s very hard to find the right flow, to find the right combination of products that will make you and your startup run smoothly. In an attempt to help you with that, here are a few tools that I personally advise you to use:
1. KickoffLabs
If you are an aspiring entrepreneur and you have one or a few ideas to test, this is a great tool to get started. Create a landing page, share it with the world and see if you have a business.
2. Lean Monitor
You are just starting, you have an idea and you are creating your first Business Model. Lean Monitor is the right tool to get you through the different phases of the Business Model Canvas, facilitates the Customer Development process and helps you structure the validation of your hypothesis. I highly recommend this tool to all aspiring entrepreneurs.
3. Blossom.io
The ideal collaboration and organization tool for startups that want to ship fast. Blossom.io helps you structure the crucial areas of your company and make sure that everyone knows what is hapenning and is aligned in terms of priorities and goals. Some very cool companies like Buffer, YCombinator and SeedCamp use Blossom.io.
4. Podio
At Startup Pirates we’ve been using Podio since the very beginning. Most of the time our team works remotely. We travel often, we work with Startup Pirates organizers from all around the world and Podio makes it easy to share with everyone what is happening, discuss ideas, make decisions.
5. iDoneThis
Everyday, before leaving the office I fill in my iDoneThis list with everything I’ve done during that day, from meetings to skype call, from blog posts to clients outreach and so on. It’s a great tool to make sure you are focus on your goals and don’t get too distracted with the urgencies of everyday. It can also be used by teams.
6. Buffer
When you have an early-stage startup, it’s very difficult to keep a constant flow of facebook posts and tweets in your social network profiles. There are a dozen more important and urgent things to do. Buffer makes this all process much easier. Fill your buffer with news, interesting articles and other cool stuff and Buffer will keep your social networks updated and your clients and followers happy.
