For those starting to learn/practise Islam or coming back to the Faith: firstly i am so proud of you and i pray that Allah always protects and guides you Ameen. ♥️☀️🦋 I know that in the beginning it can be overwhelming to figure out how to do everything but please take it one step at a time insha Allah. You do not have to do everything perfectly. In time, things will become easier insha Allah. So please don't get discouraged or stuck if you make mistakes. Nobody was born knowing how to do things. We are all learning here 💗
I love memorising Surahs a lot. I remember when i first started learning the arabic prononciation i sounded so funny - i still do when i take my first tries with a new Surah. But it always motivates me to try more 😊 alhamduliah.
Respecting the prayers times was a bit difficult for me in the beginning. Mostly it was so because i am a very chaotic person and i forget what i have scheduled easily. After i addapted my day according to the prayer times i became a lot more organised, focused and balanced emotionally and psychologically alhamdulillah.
Allah knows your efforts and He will open the doors for you. 😊 The most important is the state of your heart - the fact that your intention is to get closer to our Beautiful Creator and learn. Enjoy this time! After years have past, you will remember this stage in your life and smile.
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim || Book 9, Hadith 994]
Please share your experience insha Allah: what was something that you learned about islam and you really loved; which are the things that you are having difficulty with; what would you like to learn more about 😊
Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while Allah's Messenger was sitting with the people, a man came to him walking and said, O Allah's Messenger . What is Belief? The Prophet said, Belief is to believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the meeting with Him, and to believe in the Resurrection. The man asked, O Allah's Messenger What is Islam? The Prophet replied, Islam is to worship Allah and not worship anything besides Him, to offer prayers perfectly, to pay the (compulsory) charity i.e. Zakat and to fast the month of Ramadan. The man again asked, O Allah's Messenger What is Ihsan (i.e. perfection or Benevolence)? The Prophet said, Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not achieve this state of devotion, then (take it for granted that) Allah sees you. The man further asked, O Allah's Messenger When will the Hour be established? The Prophet replied, The one who is asked about it does not know more than the questioner does, but I will describe to you its portents. When the lady slave gives birth to her mistress, that will be of its portents; when the bare-footed naked people become the chiefs of the people, that will be of its portents. The Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah. Verily, the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. (31.34) Then the man left. The Prophet said, Call him back to me. They went to call him back but could not see him. The Prophet said, That was Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion. (See Hadith No. 47 Vol 1)

To enter a house/shop by saying Assalamu 'Alaykum or its Likes
Allah says "When you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah (i.e. say: As-Salamu 'Alaikum - peace be on you) blessed and good.
(al-Noor 24:61)
'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said, "When someone enters a house which is not lived in, he should say, 'Peace be upon the righteous slaves of Allah. (Assalamu 'Alyna wa 'Ala 'Ibaadillahis Saaliheen)
[Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1055 , Hassan]
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
When a person enters his house and mentions the name of Allah (such as Bismillah or Assalamu 'Alykum, or its likes) at the time of entering it and while eating the food, Satan says (addressing himself: You have no place to spend the night and no evening meal; but when he enters without mentioning the name of Allah, the Satan says: You have found a place to spend the night, and when he does not mention the name of Allah while eating food, he (the Satan) says: You have found a place to spend the night and evening meal. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jabir b. Abdullah through the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

Being Muslim is a constant every day journey of bettering yourself and striving to get closer to Allah. Some days, your heart is strong with faith and motivation, whereas others, you can feel a lot more distant and disconnected.
One way that I find really helps me to remain focused on my religion and my purpose, even while living in a non-Muslim household with not a lot of Muslim company around…
