Minecraft features I want to learn more about and play with.
This post will be for features added in 1.11 to 1.21. All earlier updates are in this post here!
The Exploration Update / 1.11
- Curse of Binding and Vanishing
What are some use cases for this? I usually just set these books in my chests to rot forever.
- Evokers, Vindicator, and Vexes
What’s the difference and what’s an illager?
I want one. I want to see all the different carpet patterns.
Is it different than the treasure maps? I’ve never traded with a cartographer before.
I would love to get one of each of the colors
Otherwise known as the last update I experienced as it came out.
I don't know anything about Dolphin's Grace and just learnt that I could feed them??
Never put a fish in a bucket but I know there is an achievement for it.
I want one so bad but I have no idea how to breed them. I will be collecting an army of turtles and make that stupid helmet.
I want to have one and use it with all the different enchantments.
Why do people use it? Why are there so many farms? For furnaces?
-Conduits, Nautilus Shells, and Heart of the Sea
It's crafted? But also like an underwater beacon?
I would love to collect all the colors and kinds of coral. I would want to try to build with them more either the blocks or the fans, both would be cool.
I've been to a couple but there is so many different generations I would love to explore more of them.
I don't think I've seen one of these before but I'll already be exploring everywhere so might as well add more to the list.
-Smooth Quartz and Sandstone
I didn't know this existed until last week and I don't know what the difference is from the normal quartz and sandstone.
Village and Pillage / 1.14
Why? That's my question. I have never seen a good trade, where do they come from? Another thing I just do not understand.
They are so cute and if you breed them the babies are friendly? I love both colors too so I will be stealing them.
I didn't know this was a thing until recently I saw them in Fwhip's (not positive) world tour. I now want all of them.
I am a panda person. I have loved pandas since I was a child and I will be getting so many. I will find a brown panda. I don't know how it works but I will have one.
This applies to raids as a whole as well but I have only ever done one raid and I died midway through.
I have used it but I would like to understand it better because it is quite frustrating some times. I have also seen it in buildings and redstone so I would like to figure out other use cases for it.
Why are they there? Why do people want them? Why are they not craftable?
-Blast Furnace and Smoker
Also why? What makes it better than a regular furnace?
I don't know how to work maps so I don't use the table. I will be making a giant map of my area so I'll figure it out.
Again, why would you choose this instead of a furnace. It is quite a nice decoration block though.
I only remember banner making pre-loom addition so I would like to use the loom as well.
When I understand and utilize a lectern in a redstone build then I will consider redstone complete.
I understand how this works I just have never used it due to the lack of netherite I have gathered.
I would love to explore all the different types of villages.
I don't know what's there but I will soon.
I think they are so cute but they don't do much as food. They do like one hunger.
I don't use a regular bow a lot so I definitely don't use a crossbow at all. I want to load one with fireworks because that seems awesome.
I would like to build with them more. Those mosaic blocks are so cute but I've never built with them.
I would like to learn more about the different types. The only utilization of suspicious stew I have ever seen was Lizzie in Wild Life.
There are different colors now and I want them all. I want the achievement for having them all.
Pretty much the only thing added and I still haven't done much with them. Maybe I'll make a bee farm :) I really like honeycomb blocks and decorating with beehives is nice.
There is so much I don't understand in this update so I will just be listing.
PIglins, Hoglins, Strider, Piglin Brute
-Soul Fire, Campfire, Torch, and Lantern
-Basalt, Blackstone, Quartz Bricks, Soul Soil
I’ve been to them before but I don’t know why they are there.
Soul Sand Valley, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Basalt Deltas
Cave & Cliffs Part 1 & 2 / 1.17 & 1.18
It would be easier to say everything than to type it all but alas I will be typing it all, thank you split screen :)
-Azalea & Flowing Azalea Trees, Leaves, Plants
Calcite, Amethyst, Smooth Basalt. I do have some experience but I want to learn more.
-Dripleaf (Big and Small)
-Dripstone & Dripstone Block
Maybe I'll also learn the difference between a stalagmite and a stalactite.
-Copper and all the blocks
Ore, Ore Blocks, Copper Block, Cut Copper
I have seen and experienced how terrible it is to mine.
-Glow Ink & Glowing Item Frames
I have goats in real life so I would love to have them in Minecraft.
I remember when they announced frogs. I thought they were really ugly. I no longer feel that way as I love them.
-Pitcher Plant & Torchflower
I was actively playing Java edition when this came out. However, combat is not my thing so I went to one for about 5 minutes and did not enjoy being there.
-Breeze Rods & Wind Charges
Infestation, Oozing, Weaving, Wind Charging
-New Banner Patterns, Sherds, Armor Trims, and Music Discs
Bundles of Bravery / 1.21.2
Finally something I know :) I love bundles
The Garden Awakens / 1.21.4
-Short and Tall Dried Grass
-Alternate Chicken, Pig, and Cows by Biome.
Now that you all know that I know nothing, come follow me actually learn. As always, anyone is welcome to ask questions or give tips in my asks, messages, reblogs, or comments. I would love to learn from you!
