jennie bb. think about a particularly hard week for our baby agents when they're still newish partners, and mulder just keeps looking over at scully in the office sympathetically because he sees how tired she is and how she keeps sighing in frustration at all the paperwork they've still got left to do. (continued)

so later that night, before she comes over to review some evidence at his apartment, he picks up her favorite dish at the chinese restaurant they always go to during lunch (even though he lives nowhere near the office) and lays it out on his coffee table. when she gets there she kind of walks quickly to his living room wanting to get things over with and she stops when she sees all the food, she just looks at him and smiles and he just smiles awkwardly with his hands in his pocket.

CARLA. Oh. I love it. I love the thought of Mulder trying to make her feel better by getting her favorite Chinese food (it's such a guy thing to do. Bless). I bet they ate dinner and reviewed the evidence and then he convinced her to stay and watch some old sci-fi movies for awhile and she ends up having a really good time and it’s a nice bonding moment for them.
