Why You Should Ditch Work And Watch Soccer
Humble brag but I am one of the luckier girls—my boyfriend is not into sports. I'm not expected to know player names and random stats or plan meals around "The Big Game." Still, I'm drawn to the World Cup like a moth to a flame. Do I have a favorite team? Not quite, but I have found the perfect venue to catch mid-day games. Until July 13, I can happily slip out to Le Cirque Café (the sister restaurant to the famed Le Cirque) and enjoy some fútbol alongside a lavish two-course lunch. Here, the sophisticated game day menu includes chilled melon soup with prosciutto, tuna tartare and spring pea risotto. Is your mouth watering yet? Let's raise a glass to the chicest soccer party in town!
Cheer on your favorite team during a soccer-watching lunch for two.
