Sorry for a small hiatus you guys; my drawing tablet cord died and I had to get a new laptop, but tomorrow I’m going to be getting the replacement cord, so what better to do than do a small story set about three years after the #Pokemon: Jasper and Beryl story line?
Warning: Severe Spoilers under the cut, read at your own risk!
They woke to a nuzzle gently nudging their face while webbed paws shook their shoulder. “I’m awake,” they grumbled, shoving their purple hair out of the way to glare at the pink Vaporeon, who was happily trilling. On his back sat Leeli, her purple eyes wide and begging, and Jasper immediately knew what she wanted to do.
“If Beryl says no that’s that,” they told the eevee, who let out a yip and bounced away. “Go make sure she doesn’t break anything,” the vaporeon nuzzled their face one last time before bouncing off the bed and out of the room after his sister.
Looking over towards the different sized beds, they found themself smiling at the sight of the second “eevee” still asleep. The two had been out late, ensuring that Team Rocket was still away from their house; the last thing they needed was for other grunts who weren’t Jessie and James to realize who this eevee really was. Swinging their legs off the bed and standing, they decided to leave the sleeping pokemon alone and moved out of the room, heading towards the combined living-kitchen area. Five years ago, they had built this house with the help of a few Officer Jennys when word got out that there had been five eevee kits with wide skill varieties without a pokeball.
Of course, a year after the house was built and Jasper had been named the Kanto Champion, four of the five had chosen to go into a pokeball by choice along with Ninetales, so that they could be uploaded along with them. Only one, the blue-eyed eevee she nicknamed “John”, stayed out and ended up being released.
Fast forward six months and they’re woken up by a frantic Beryl, the former having not expected to return to Simulation 151 and the latter slowly going crazy from a glitch in the system. Of course, once the glitch was fixed, Jasper had once again been given an option: be uploaded and return to their world, or stay behind as Kanto’s Champion.
Obviously, you can see what they had chosen, especially when they opened the door to see Ninetales struggling to pick Jolteon up like she had done so many times when he had been an eevee and in trouble.
“And what’s going on here?” they asked, making Ninetales open her mouth and Jolteon fall to the floor with a thump, looking at the affectionately called ‘team mom’ in betrayal. Flareon looked up from where he had been sunbathing with an unamused look towards his brother before standing and stretching in a very cat like manner. “Val, you know you can’t hold him like that anymore. Jay, what exactly were you trying to do?”
They saw him glance towards the kitchen and- oh gods no.
With a groan, they rubbed their face and felt someone rub up against their legs, glancing down with a sour look to see ‘John staring back, just as unamused.
