Green initiatives in Lefkosha

North Cyprus is not famous by it's green initiaves but they try - for example Lefkosha has joined few international green cities movements like ICLEI and Lefke officially became Slow City by joining Cittaslow.

Thus, it was nice to see 3 baskets/cages for collection of plastic bottles and metal cans for recycling purposes. They locate right in front of the Municipality of Lefkosha. So if you have many cola and Pepsi bottles/cans left after new year holidays you can put them there.
