More pictures with legacy glass, in this case SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4, on my Fuji X-E1.  I’ve been shooting a lot of b&w film so this is a nice change of pace.

Young Woman with Head Wrap, Central Park, N.Y.C.

I’m still working on stopping and asking strangers to allow me to take their portrait.  It’s still pretty scary to me.  But she was willing when I asked and I really appreciate that.

This is also the first portrait I’ve taken with the SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens I bought off of Craigslist to use on my Fuji X-E1.  I bought the camera a year or so ago for that purpose but didn’t use it much then.  But recently I bought an adaptor for my Minolta MD lenses, as well as a Minolta 45mm f/2 from Ebay, and started using those lenses.  And now i’m experimenting with the Takumar lens (I’ve another, a 55mm f.1.8 coming from Ebay too) and I’m really enjoying shooting these legacy lenses.

War of the Roses- 1 busted out the Vintage Russian legend "Jupiter 9 for this shot.. Definitely a different classic look to this lens.. probably your perfect portrait lens but I'm tryna see if it's an all rounder.
