This week's #homegrownkcadventure took place at the #LegendsField the home of the #kcmonarchs (formerly known as the #kctbones). First, this baseball field is small and intimate and much more affordable than the #kcroyals. Second, the team changed their name to the Monarchs earlier this year in honor of Kansas City's #negroleague team, and they educational panels about the Negro League and famous players from the original Monarchs team within the stadium.
