The smell of it was unmistakable. He had sent out his little pets to find her again, as any big bother would for their lost sibling. She knew the intent of those hunting her, slithering down the naked walk ways in the shadows, hoping to catch sight of her. Oh, how she heard their whispers, knew how they would send out signals. Centuries since the dawn of time to practice and still to this day she avoided them.
Every now and again though...they find her.
She let out a sigh, feeling the smoke of burning surfer roll over her bare shoulders. It would stick to her clothing, the jogging pants, tank top, running shoes, just another scent they had on her. Smoke rippled around her, like chains forming to keep her still. Since a mind game they had to play with her, trying to strike fear in her heart. Did her brother not bother to tell them who they had been sent to hunt? Did he not give them a proper warning? Of course he wouldn’t...After so long, he started to get lazy with his little pets never coming home. “Such a beautiful pity,” Long, black, lengthy fingers came out from the smoke behind her, like a mist shadowing a man. The fingers would slowly become more flesh toned, large hands. A man standing inches over her, letting his hand caress the side of her neck from behind. “No restrictions on how we bring you in...as long as you are able to breath.” His voice whispering closer. Her cobalt eyes slowly closing. Under the street light was just enough not to give way of what she was...but just barely it’s light that the man could be clearly seen. She knew his intentions, demons like him don’t get to come out into the world long enough to get any pleasure out of it.He wouldn’t be the first to try, and most certainly wouldn’t be the last. The smoke, solidified, leaving her in metaphorical chains that would make anyone else see her as if she was just stunned in place. She could feel the hold against her muscles, running down her legs. The demon thought he had her... His hand against her neck would slowly slither around towards her front, gripping her throat in a tight hold as she felt him press up against her. “Now hold still...” He purred.
