Evidence of the recent rain, and the arrival of autumn ('fall' for my American friends). Megie asked, 'why are you taking pictures of leaves?' Ha ha! That is a good question. I suppose I found something interesting in the way the leaves were clumped together, the shapes and the light. The black carriage - taken at the V&A Waterfront. I love the constraints of a fixed focal length lens. I have a 40mm Voigtlander lens. It invites me to see my surroundings in a particular way. In this photo I like the single black carriage offset against the circular hub at the centre of the ferris wheel. I met these two ladies outside the NG Moederkerk in Stellenbosch. According to the police they are criminals for daring to protest! How silly this seems.
