No Marios Allowed postcard book! ⊟
The wonderful No Marios Allowed blog, in which Leigh Davis posts ultra-cute drawings of game characters who are Not Mario, is now a book on Fangamer, featuring new and redrawn art along with selections from the site.
You can thumb through it, you can stand it up, or... you could tear one of the works out and send it -- each page is a real postcard! They’d also be suitable for framing, just saying.

Turnaround (Cocaine Song) by Tōth from the album You and Me and Everything - Director: Kyle Derry
Davis slips into the office, light on their feet as ever. Today, the officer’s flesh sagged plumply across chest and belly, a kind of world-weary overweightness, a thinness to the hair, and a pout to the lips... all that said this woman would rather not be here.
Caitlyn glances up from her paperwork; she alone could recognise the officer on sight. “Was there anything else in the cache worth reporting over?”
“A few other illegalities. The prisoners still refuse to explain how and where they came to be in possession of all those stolen goods. The arrival of the Noxian soldiers didn’t make the work any easier, either; half of what was there was claimed on soil sovereignty.”
Caitlyn clenches the pen tightly. “Our declaration was that we would find the artefacts and return them to their rightful owners. Why is Noxus getting involved?”
“The same reason Demacia is,” Davis shrugged. “They want the artefacts first.”
“Fuck,” Caitlyn scowled. “... Interesting, isn’t it? I make a declaration on a public stage about how the world doesn’t listen to what we say, and our dear allies immediately turn around and ignore what I say.” She frowns. “... what did they get?”
“The Thornmail, sir.”
“Thornmail?” Caitlyn blanches. She knows the history of that item. She knows to whom it belonged. “And Noxus has it? Shit.”
“Yes, sir.”
“This is bad news, Davis.”
“Yes, sir. I’m sorry. Griffon H3 tried to...”
“You don’t need to apologise.” Caitlyn runs a hand through her hair. “We just need to move faster.”
She pauses a moment, to consider her options. Her speech had contained a carefully-coded message to the criminal C... was he going to cooperate? Would he rise to the challenge? Or was he, like so many others, just another pawn of the Institute?
Maybe they could get the Thornmail back from Noxus. Maybe. If nothing more then for official documentation, they could get it back.
Would Noxus make a declaration about having such an artefact? Or would they hide it, horde it, as jealously as the Institute? Too many questions, not enough answers.
“Have your birds and spiders anything more to tell me?”
“Not yet. But they’re far and wide.” Davis gives a small smirk. “Much like myself, today.”
Caitlyn smirks back. “As you were, Officer Davis.”
Davis salutes, and squeezes themselves out of the door.
