Leileah sat in her study, the room was only illuminated by a single candle and numerous crumpled up pieces of parchment littered the floor around her. Her desk was messy, multiple quills were strewn about and that lone candle was melted down to a small nub, the excess flowing over to settle on the stand. She was nervous, hair a mess and the end of her current quill had the end nearly chewed off. She was so careful, or at least, she thought she was. “I know she’s amazing, but how did she track me down so fast…” she murmured to the empty room, “I got too comfortable, that has to be it.” She reached out with a nervous hand and crumpled up the parchment before her and discarded it behind her.
“I have to cut this tie too.” she pulled another clean piece of parchment before her, “I can’t keep risking it.” The elf took a deep and slow breath as she tried to steady her hand. It pained her while she dipped the tip of her quill into the inkwell and tried once again to put her thoughts into words.
“Tris,
I have to go way for a while. I’m not happy about this, we were finally starting to get along like proper cousins. Thank you for showing me that not all of our family are as overbearing and cruel as I once believed. In the meantime, I hope your business continues to flourish and feel free to use the cupcake recipe I sent with the last letter.
Maybe we can meet up again after all of this passes.

Short and direct, she felt it was best this way. Rolling the parchment up and sliding it into its cylinder, she motioned for her little Mana Ray, Lueur, and fastened the cylinder to its harness, “Fly quickly, and don’t linger in the city for too long. Return as soon as you’ve delivered my letter.”

49. What is something that your character has nightmares about? Are these frequent? Do they heavily affect your character’s mood?
Tiala frequently suffers from strange and maddening nightmares, a side effect of her use of void magic. They range from uncomfortable to absolutely terrifying. She can normally brush them off in the morning and doesn’t let them impact her on a day to day.
