A day out in the sun ☀️ #sundaying☀️ #writing #randr #leithlinks #parks (at Leith Links)
Week Eleven: 7-8pm Tuesday 1st April
This is my last visit to this location. This was another cold day with light rain. With the weather so bad there were only a handful of people out walking their dogs.
During my observation i noticed one woman in her 40s with a golden retriever walking across the pitch. The dog approached me with a stick expecting me to throw it. As the owner cut on pass the bench i was sitting on i watched the dog. The owner a short distance away i noticed stop and talk to a male in his 40s who to owned a golden retriever. Watching the actions of these two owners i could see them flirting, and talking about both dogs. I even over heard them arranging to meet up next week. As the male walked away he looked very smug.
Week Nine: 6-7pm Saturday 15th March
This being a Saturday night i wasn’t expecting to see many people. There were one elderly couple out for a walk, linked arm in arm (cuteness). There also were a group of men walking past drunk, chanting football songs. I guessed that a football team that the supported had won a match. They were all dressed very smart, they must have been heading on a night out. Apart from these two groups no one else walked through the park. Guessing as it was a Saturday night and it wasn’t lit up people may tend to walk around the park than through it.
Week Five: 9-10.00pm Tuesday 11th Feb
Tonight on my trip to this location has been the quietest I have seen the location. I stayed again for an hour, but the whole time i was there i had only a male pass me, and then a young group of people. I believed the man was on his way out as he was dressed very smart and was walking at a fast pace (he must be running late).
Sitting in this area at this time was slightly scary, it is very dark it doesn’t have many lights in the park, and the location is normally not busy with traffic.
Apart from the man who had passed earlier in the night towards ten o’clock a group of youths passed by. I was guessing that they had to be home for a certain time as it was a school night and close to ten.
Week Four: 8-9am Thursday 6th Feb
Located beside this park are two primary schools and also a secondary school. The main people i seen at this time of the morning seemed rushed. Guessing that they were on a school run before work and others without children may have been on there way to work as few dressed very professional.
I noticed a few students of the secondary school standing smoking near the hedges of the tennis courts. After watching them standing there for a few minutes I watched them run towards the direction of their school as it was ten to nine, and i assume that they were running late.
