it’s an imperceptible stutter in his sentence, a flicker in the corner of his eye as but one of the crowd’s members is transported onto elevated stage. he thinks little of it through his speech — frankly, too overwhelmed by emotion to really pay heed to his newfound abilities — and it’s only afterward, when the confetti has burst and the masses have begun to cheer that he visits her.
he’s disoriented from a minute, still able to see himself up on the stage above, except now he’s down here, amidst the rainbow-clad horde with her. he has to shout to be heard, blaring music and the sing-alongs of thousands drowning him out otherwise. ❛ you’re like me ! ❜
