SO i kinda can only think of lemons on a plane rn. have some collages/moodboards/however they're called (+ some headcanons) of how i personally percieve jane and john !!! also i'll elaborate on this so prepare for the holy yapping
with jane i kinda imagined a concept of someone who lives on a never-ending summer. lots of lace, sandals, flowy shirts and not necessarily tight pants, maxi skirts, lots of necklaces but she hates earrings, a sort of boho-style if you will ? she doesn't really care that much about how she looks, but rather being comfortable and able to move freely. AT FIRST i thought she could rock a bob- which, i mean, yeah, BUT IDK i just felt like the copper curls gave her like a little boom of color that idk felt nice, considering the boho-style isn't particularly colorful ¿ am i even making sense rn
when not in distress jane is like a warm ray of sunshine on a winter afternoon, she's genuinely so lighthearted and kind, her laugh is loud and contagious. she moved from sicily because she could never fully get used to the cycle of violence her family was trapped in, but it doesn't mean she doesn't know how to throw hands, she's extremely protective of the people she loves and borderline a little more aggressive than she should when she percieves that people are playing stupid with her or her people. tho she appears calmer than she actually is, i can imagine her being an active enjoyer of parties, dancing like no one is seeing her, singing loudly to the music even if sober.
hobbies can include taking walks in the city, playing pool (she's really good), and sports such like handball or volleyball, dancing things like salsa or tango.
she definitely prefers warmth over cold and has never gotten fully used to london's weather, she might be one of the only five people in the world that might actually enjoy sweating, don't ask me why. perfume wise i can visualize her using flower-y and fruity scents, maybe a kenzo (it's way too out of her budget so she uses very little of it to make sure it lasts as much as it can).
you're about to notice my perception of john is not as poetic as jane's lmao
no but john, while having to stay formal because yk # businessman also needs to wear something comfy, considering he also needs to bake and move around the city. picture ofxord pants, polo shirts, dressing shoes or if not some sneakers that don't look too sporty, leather jackets if cold, all that jazz (i'd say his style is business-casual but i never understood how much of business and how much of casual goes into it so. yeah) he definitely needs a haircut, too focused on his work to really get one. at first i wanted to make him blond so he'd match with luke but idk i kinda like the concept of dark messy hair deal with it. i also wanted to make sure he looked like a normal man ? am i making sense
john's not really similar to jane, which doesn't mean he's an ass, not at all, he's a nice guy, he's just more quiet, shy and introverted. he's really family oriented, his best friends definitely being his brothers even if they're competing for impressing his grandfather for the company or however that plotline was, loving his parents more than anything. he's used to silence and he appreciates it, but at some point he gets bored of it, of the rich life. he needs some recklessness, something loud that'll take him out of that loop that, as much as he loves, ends up feeling boring. he's protective of his loved ones too, but not in "i'll chop your balls off" sense, he doesn't like arguments but he'll usually end up there if needed just to make sure his loved ones are treated right. he's a serious man and he doesn't laugh very often- like, he does, but not the sort of laugh that lasts until his cheeks hurt, he's used to like a couple of giggles and that's it.
hobbies include playing tennis, baking (ofc), driving through the city at night, and going to jazz concerts.
john uses women perfume you can't make me change my mind, maybe something citric but also sweet and with a vanilla touch to it, picture eclair by lataffa or some shit like that. he's definitely more of a winter person and hates summer.
what i like the most about their bond, or at least the idea of it that i have on my mind, is that they're not similar at all, and that's why makes them so united, why their thing didn't just end on that flight.
john's life is, even if not depressing, because he enjoys the golf and tennis and the old money stuff, absolutely boring. it's quiet, it's calm, there's nothing new to it, and after forty something years of the same lifestyle, you begin to crave something new, explosive and reckless.
and jane's happy about her life, she likes the parties and hanging out with friends, dancing with strangers and flirting at bars with whoever she finds pretty ( # bisexual queen ), but sometimes when she enters her apartment and she finds it absolutely empty of signs of life that aren't hers, she yearns for stability, someone who she can always return to who isn't a plane away.
they're both what the other needs. john's that someone she can always return to, and jane always has a new adventure to share with him.
john teacher her to play golf, or tennis, or drives her through the most luxurious parts of london, and jane teaches him how to dance salsa, how to play pool, and which bars won't scam him even if they can sense he has a lot of money. and they can even teach each other more than that.
you saw what they talked about in such a short flight, imagine what they can tall about after they get to know each other more, or maybe when they end up so distracted spending time with each other at jane's place that they don't notice how late it is, and she tells him to stay the night (even if it'd be perfectly safe for him to return home with his car).
ouggghhshdhdhhdd i love them. ok i won't go on for much longer. goodbye.
