Suddenly thought of an x reader fic idea of Jason Todd having a sort of guardian angel, but when he died, they were still too young and powerless to have saved him (presumably born at the same time as him, soul bonded sort of thing). They wandered for a long time, living among people without a clear purpose anymore other than to just help people, maybe having lost the powers they did have when he died

But then he came back to life, and they got their powers back in full, now an adult and stronger than ever. But they don't know where he is or even if he truly is alive again. So when he comes back to Gotham where they had been left behind, they finally find him again. Silently, they go back to protecting him as best as they can, completely out of sight. Maybe something happens or Jason catches a glimpse of them and finds it suspicious to have this figure lurking nearby him, idk, but he finally finds out that someone has been looking out for him, and even in his darkest moments, someone has always been by his side

I'm so normal about Manaka, I think she's officially my fav P5X character so far. I love her story, I love seeing her grow as a person, and I love how her Phantom Idol reflects that. Her entire theming is about second chances and appreciating life and the people you have in it and she just means so much to me. She was the catalyst for Wonder to even start to see what was wrong in the world, and I think she's such a beacon of hope. I also just love her character design as well, both her civilian and Phantom Idol forms. Anyway TLDR; she's wonderful and I will fight anyone who says otherwise

So, I keep thinking about these specific lines from the game. When I was reading through the dialogue, I wasn't thinking much about what they were talking about. It was pretty standard for the game. But then they said this, and for some reason, it hit me like a truck.

It's so meaningful, especially coming from Chiyou---someone who, in a sense, chose self-awareness despite his circumstances. And he doesn't say it out of malice or disgust towards the other weapons and soldiers either. He cares about them, and he still views them as equals in a sense. Even though he's an ancient weapon rather than a modern soldier, he bears sympathy. As he states, leading up to those first two lines:

He views these weapons' inability to think for themselves and choose their own paths in life as a disservice to them and a travesty in its own right. It's a mercy to them, even if they are not self-aware, to end their needless suffering.

It sort of ties into the conversation with Shuanshuan as well, where Yi tells him that his life would have been better if the Solarians had never arrived at their planet. But, really, the meaning of life is simply having the chance to live it.

The other weapons don't have that chance, unable to think for themselves and therefore unable to live.

It makes me think of our own lives, wondering if we're truly living them if we don't take every moment to exercise that right. It's small, but I think this exchange has been one of the most meaningful to me in the game. And has solidified Chiyou as my favorite character as well.

Getting through the current palace (I think I'm almost done with the current update) and personally? I think Shoki should be allowed to hit Shimotsuna with a bus. A semi if he can get his hands on one

I don't think I'm cut out for the actual real life cosmological horror that I'm faced with everyday as an astrophysics student

Like basically nothing is real and everything we know is actually just models that we use to predict behaviors, we don't know any of this stuff For Sure
