Aloe Vera for Hair Growth
To get the full benefits of Aloe Vera for your hair, follow this process at least once per week or as needed:
Apply a liberal amount of Aloe Vera to hair
Massage Aloe into scalp, making sure all hair is covered
Let sit for up to an hour to allow the gel to penetrate follicles
Rinse Aloe out with plain water or a mild shampoo
Aloe vera also strengthens and repairs hair. It has a similar chemical composition as that of keratin, the protein of hair. In addition to its own nutrients, Aloe vera can rejuvenate hair, give it more elasticity and prevent it from weakening or breaking. Aloe contains such vitamins as A, C, and E, of all of which promote healthy cell growth and shiny hair. There’s also Vitamin B-12 and folic acid in Aloe vera which can keep your hair from falling out.
When applied, Aloe vera increases blood circulation to affected areas. Increases blood flow to the hair and scalp aids in preventing hair breakage, promoting growth, and slowing down hair loss.Enjoy your healthier, shinier, and softer looking hair!

How to “Grow” Hair
For people with long hair, whether relaxed or natural, the first question they seem to be asked is, “how did you grow your hair so long?” However, the question should be, “how did you retain so much length?” Whether your hair grows 10 inches a year, or 4 inches a year, you must retain the bulk of it to see results. What is the point of growing 10 inches a year, to have poor haircare...
Is losing 100 strands a day really a thing?
I remember growing up hearing about how it’s normal for 100 strands of hair to shed every day. Now I wonder if that was just a ploy to calm me down after seeing chunks of hair in my hair brush after wearing pig tail braids for a week or two.
Through out history there have been many claims about hair with little evidence or just pure coincidence to back it up.
In the 1900s the idea that ‘wearing hats causes’ hair loss’ was spawned. During this time many notable male figures were wearing hats every day to work and many complained that they were going bald. There was even an anti-hat movement. Then they figured out that plenty of men that did wear hats were not losing hair.
In the 1600s being seen without a wig became ‘undignified’. Wigs became so expensive to make and maintain that wig thieves would jump through the roof of carriages and grab the passenger’s wigs before disappearing. Now wearing a wig isn’t seen as undignified, but being seen without a wig while you still have your wig cap on is another story.
In the 1920s it was thought that using heat and a blue light from a special actinic quartz ray bulb would ‘cure’ baldness and prevent further hair loss. It was later found that the heat generated by this cone-head-like device, did not cure anything.
It has been proven that humans normally lose around 50 to 100 head hairs per day from hair follicles that are at the end of the resting stage of the growth cycle. Hair shedding is a common consequence of the normal hair cycle that changes with internal and external factors. Hair shedding is a common consequence of the normal hair cycle that has been studied around the world.
