LENNON MARKS ϟ 7TH YEAR, 17 ϟ HUFFLEPUFF ϟ MUGGLEBORN ϟ MARIE AGVEROPOULOS
LIKE A STRAND IN THE WIND.
Born to a bank-teller and a sales clerk, both of whom barely earned median wage, Lennon grew up in Scotland with a very quaint and normal lifestyle. While Allen and Mary Marks were far from being the terrible kind of parents you read about in books, they weren’t exactly loving or attentive either and more often than not, Lennon found herself being taken care of by her older brother, Dylan. Though only four years older than her, Lennon’s most prominent memories include him looking after her instead of their parents, whether it be him making them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner or just playing with her outside, Dylan was always there. As she grew up he quickly became the single most important person in her life, and she still has the greatest admiration for her big brother.
It didn’t strike anyone but Dylan as odd that little Lennon could push kids who were picking on her to the ground without much strength, or that once when she was being taunted by a boy older than her on the playground, a dodge ball seemed to conveniently come out of nowhere and hit him in the face. Mostly, no one really paid enough attention to care, which is why Dylan was the only one in their household that was seemingly unfazed when Lennon’s letter to Hogwarts arrived. Lennon herself hadn’t even really considered the possibility that she could be magical. Unfortunately, the letter came with a list of things students needed to by, and after their initial state of shock and wonder, her parents deemed Hogwarts as too expensive, and that was that. Dylan, however, wasn’t having any of that. He’d been working under the table at a local business since he was fourteen in an attempt to provide more than just the bare minimum for his family, and had managed to save up a decent sum of money that he sacrificed for Lennon’s education. With barely a penny to spare, Lennon had just enough money for robes, books, cauldrons, and most importantly, her wand.
Life at Hogwarts was as thrilling as it could possibly be for the free-spirit muggleborn and she had the time of her life, although being sorted into Hufflepuff of all houses came as a bit of a shocker to the young girl. But Lennon made the best of it, and though she didn’t make many friends it was certainly more than she’d ever had at home, and they were genuine friends who Lennon knew would have her back no matter what. The only thing she began to miss as she got older was Muggle technology and, more importantly, her weed. Smuggling her drugs into Hogwarts during 5th year didn’t prove to be as difficult as she thought it would be and the notion that she could start making money off of the stuff didn’t fail to cross her mind, and soon she was known as Hogwarts’ friendly neighborhood dealer. In addition to that, her father was a sales clerk for a mobile phone company and came across free phones all the time, and it didn’t take long for Lennon to start selling phones reprogrammed specifically for Hogwarts, either. If money had been tight before, it certainly wasn’t anymore, and Lennon was ecstatic to finally be able to start paying her brother back for all the money and help he’d given her as she grew up. With 7th year arriving, Lennon suspects that business will be better than ever, what with the Voldemort copy-cat and the student’s over the top stress levels. Though most of her classmates seem to be shitting their pants about the whole thing, Lennon has decided to let it be and not dwell on it, and instead enjoy her last year at Hogwarts.
IN A WEB THAT IS MY OWN,
Lennon is entirely too temperamental, that much is certain. She’s got a fiery disposition and is ready at all times to fight anyone who might be looking at her or her friends the wrong way. Although many people think the Sorting Hat made a mistake by not sorting Lennon into Slytherin, what they don’t know is that she actually possesses many of the qualities that can be found in a Hufflepuff. Above everything, Lennon is loyal to a fault. She doesn’t have many friends, but the few she does have are very near and dear to her and she’d do anything to protect them. The girl has an extremely kind soul until someone is rude to her, and at that point all bets are off and she’s ready to fight. Lennon’s a hard worker and doesn’t take kindly to those whom are just handed whatever they want. The notion that hard work will get you far is something that Lennon believes in whole-heartedly and she’s worked for everything she has, including the opportunity to go to Hogwarts.
I BEGIN AGAIN.
