Heathers/Not Here To Save Anyone by Leo Bhanji Single Review
8.5/10
These days I’m looking for chilled out music that can help to calm the nerves and spruce up a rainy day starring out the window. There are many a song that fit that bill, but rarely do they cause you to perk up and listen a little closer. Something about the slow guitar, subtle backbeat and slight noise effects playing in and around the sincere vocals of this simple track “Heathers” caught me right in the feelings one day. Then there is the B-side tune “Not Here To Save Anyone”, a one minute long piece with inaudible vocals, but the main event is the static like percussion part over subdued keyboard/synth notes playing in the backgroun; it’s simple and atmospheric. No matter which way you play it, these two songs pair perfectly and play into one another seamlessly.
