hesitancy lined their steps as they skirted the cliffs of emerald forest.   there had been few training exercises prior where ren and jaune had been separated from nora and pyrrha. balancing the team strengths made ren anxious. they knew of jaune’s durability now that his aura had been unlocked, but there was still something worrying about lacking both of the team’s powerhouses. ren was intelligent and had good instincts, but was only powerful in short bursts. jaune was strategic, but still inexperienced. they rarely were they paired together when it came to combat, opting for their respective battle partners. with mist thick, and the growl of nearby grimm near deafening ren couldn’t help but stress over whether they should focus on finding their teammates or completing the trail mission objective.

aura sparked at ren’s fingertips, head snapping towards the source of earth - shattering vibrations as an alpha beowolf cut through the mist towards them. ear shattering howl broke through the eerie atmosphere, and prompted ren into diving out of it’s way, but jaune was caught in the impact. a flood of aura shrouded ren’s body as they launched one of stormflower’s guns into a spinning arch, distracting the grimm while ren dived for their leader by the edge of the cliff. upon grip on jaune’s armour, he was immediately shrouded from grimm eyes too, but ren needed to root their spare gun into the cliff to keep from plunging into an abyss below. eyes widened as searing pain dug into their arm, tearing through the fabric of both their arm, and the thermal armour underneath it.   gods,   it hurts.   smog of dragon smoke exhaled through gritted teeth, eyes becoming slits.   are those claws   ?   @leonceu   +   plotted starter.

⭐: What do they wish a friend would do with them that hasn't happened just yet?

he doesn’t have a specific wishlist or anything like that. to a certain extent he’s always wanting attention and to do things with friends and he doesn’t hide his eagerness when he asks if someone is available to hang out or if he accosts them via text, although he tries not to be clingy! overall love can be kind of high maintenance, but also easygoing?? like he’ll have a good time doing something simple as much as he’ll enjoy something more extravagant as long as the company is good!
