Who'd win in a 1v1, Leopaldon or Potemkin?
Trick question. Leopaldon is 3 guys.
Leopaldon is going to be the second character to have her theme in the game without being playable. ‘Tis a sad day for the Leopaldon fan(s).
I'm the only one rooting for a character that takes up half the screen and with no personality to return.
Sorry if this may seem random, but in an older post of yours (from about 2012!) you posted the lyrics of Leopaldon's theme 'kill DOG as a sacrifice to DOG', and I was wondering how you found them? was it just by ear, or are there official lyrics, how'd you even figure out they are lyrics in the first place? anyway sorry for the odd questions lol, I just really like the lyrics and was wondering where they came from/how you deciphered through that distortion. Thanks!!!!
I must confess it was mostly by ear, but in context, I took in to consideration Isuka’s Theme naming in to account.
“The GOD bites own lip in chagrin” is a reference to Sol himself, as a Gear with GODlike Power. But just as the world turned upside down and backwards, even a GOD has to fight like a DOG in a DOG eat DOG society. A world where the BEASTS are blamed.
“Kill DOG as a sacrifice to DOG” can also be phrased as:
“Kill GOD as a sacrifice to GOD”:
GEARS (Gods) killing other GEARS, all in the name of Peace for MANKIND (a false GOD).
Humanity waged a war against these beasts and dubbed it a HOLY WAR for their own survival. But was it truly Holy, or simply KARMA?
A true INJUSTICE, if you will.
The song’s muffled lyrics suggest the idea that Beasts do not speak like Humans can, and so they cannot fully express their suffering in the conflict.
In truth, the symbolism of ISUKA (crossed swords, a bird of freedom) represents the idea that despite the inability to communicate (even in conflict and battle), even Beasts could find freedom amidst the world’s chaos.
Leopaldon sought refuge in Antarctica: a place that humans seldom ever set foot because of its harsh environment, but it was that very place that gave Leopaldon a sanctuary of peace (even if for a time before Sol met the Gears living there).
Many Gears with sentience hid their existence, living in Fear of humans, but in such a harsh place of cold and unrelenting winter, even Leopaldon had conscience enough to save the lives of lost humans who wandered in to that forbidding wilderness.
Some might argue this runs parallel to legends like the Saint Bernard Dogs of the Alps and of BIGFOOT, but even so, it’s proof that GEARS can save lives just as well as Humans do.
