Honoka: I wonder what the site will be like? It looked so pretty when I checked it out online, so much nature…

Honoka: Nature…that means bugs. We’ll need bug spray…

Honoka: Well, I’m sure someone will have some. Haruna, maybe, she’s well-prepared like that.

Honoka: But what if it doesn’t agree with our skin…? It’ll detract from the fun if we get a rash or something…

Honoka: …I know! I’ll buy an all-natural one, with herbs and stuff.

Honoka: Alright, now we’re set! I should head to the meetup spot.

Honoka: It sure is a nice sunny day today. I’m glad.

Honoka: …Hm. We’ll need sunscreen too, then. Uh-oh! Better go buy some…

Honoka: Okay, now we’re set. No sunburns for us today!

Honoka: Wait. We might be safe from sunburns, but…what about regular burns?!

Honoka: It’s not like we’re expert grill masters. …It’s almost a given that someone will get burned.

Honoka: Stomach medicine in case something isn’t cooked properly, bandages and compresses in case someone trips and falls…

Honoka: Aaah! I’ve still got so much I need to buy…!

Honoka: Hmm, maybe I ended up going a little overboard…Oh well! Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

Honoka: This is all to make sure that our barbecue is as fun as can be!

Honoka: …Speaking of which, we’ll need something to play with, maybe.

Honoka: Some light exercise to help us digest would be good.

Honoka: This frisbee will do the trick, I think! I’m sure everyone will love this.

Honoka: Nothing beats letting loose and running around in the great outdoors!

Honoka: The great outdoors…there’s supposed to be a stream there, right? I’d love to try chilling some vegetables in it…okay, I’ll get a mesh bag too!

Shiho: How much are we talking here?

Maika: I don’t know exactly how much, but it’s easily several million yen!

Shiho: Huh. It didn’t look anywhere near that valuable to me.

Maika: No time for that! Where did you see it?!

Shiho: Somewhere over there. It was just kind of lounging there, but it’s gone by now.

Maika: How are you so calm about this?! A tsuchinoko sighting would be world-changing news, you know!

Maika: We could be famous!

Shiho: I don’t really care about that.

Maika: Well I do! Come on, help me look for it! We’re finding that tsuchinoko!

Shiho: Probably.

Maika: The heck you mean, “probably”? I need you to be sure! I’m not seeing any sign of it…

Shiho: Oh, there it is.

Maika: Really?! Let me see! Where?! …Wait, you mean this?

Maika: This is just some trash someone left lying around. You’re telling me you thought this was a tsuchinoko?

Shiho: Hmm, I wonder.

Maika: Ugh, geez! You got my hopes up, you know!

Shiho: So no prize money?

Maika: Of course not! Come on, let’s head back. We’ve got a barbecue to start.

Maika leaves.

Shiho: No, I don’t think it was just a piece of trash…I know what I saw, and I know it was around here…

Maika: Hurry it up, Shiho, or there won’t be any left for you!

Shiho: Hey! Just give me a second!

Shiho: Hm? This is…the weird guy I saw earlier …So, this is the legendary tsuchinoko…

Maika: Shiho! Hurry it up!

Haruna: I’ll kill some time before I head to the meetup spot!

Phone notification sound

Haruna: Oh, someone’s messaging me…it’s Miharu-san! “I’m glad the weather is nice today. Have fun!” She said.

Haruna: Was she thinking about our outing today? She’s so thoughtful…I should send a reply.

Haruna: “I’m glad too! It’s quite good!” …That feels a little stiff. Let’s try making it more lighthearted.

Haruna: “You bet! I’m super totes excited for today owo!” …Wait, no, I can’t possibly send something like this to Miharu-san!

Haruna: Besides, it’s totally out of character for me. …Come on, Haruna, calm down a little.

Haruna: It’s because I’m so excited for this barbecue. Maybe a little too excited…

Haruna: “Thank you! I’m looking forward to today!” …Yeah, that should work, right? Okay, sent!

Manager: To watch over the President’s and everyone’s dreams until the end…

Kirika: Yes, exactly.

Kirika: Back in my acting days, there was a time when I refused to even consider any small-time positions. I only wanted the best and most prestigious roles.

Kirika: All I was after was more fame, more money.

Manager: But isn’t everyone basically like that? I’m sure every actor wants to get the biggest roles they can and get their name out there.

Kirika: I can’t say you’re wrong…

Kirika: But a career driven only by the pursuit of wealth...it leaves you empty. It leaves you hollow.

Kirika: No matter how big the roles I got were, there was always a void in my heart.

Manager: Your heart…

Kirika: You could say that hollow feeling was the most defining aspect of that phase of my life.

Manager: Even with all the success you had?

Kirika: Even then. Because in my heart of hearts, the work I was doing wasn’t what I truly wanted.

Kirika: I went into acting in pursuit of my dream, but at some point I had turned my back on that very same dream.

Manager: But now you’re at AiRBLUE. So you started working here to fill that void in your heart…?

Kirika: Yes. I found my place here in pursuit of what I truly want to do.

Kirika: It’s not about money, and it’s not about fame. I’m pursuing my dream and loving every second of it. The same is true for you, right Manager?

Manager: Y-yes!

Kirika: Now then, I must excuse myself.

Manager: Oh, do you need to go?

Kirika: It’s time for lessons. Remember, keep this a secret, okay?

Manager: Of course.

Kirika: I’ll see you around.

Manager: Right.

Manager: (Kirika-sensei…she really is incredible.)

Manager: Ah, sorry…so they want to get you on their roster?

Kirika: So it seemed.

Kirika: I turned them down.

Manager: You turned down an offer from RoutePro?!

Kirika: Of course. I have no intention of resigning from my current position.

Manager: Kirika-sensei…

Kirika: Don’t tell anyone at work about this, okay?

Manager: How come…?

Manager: Surely a big agency like that would bring a lot more high-profile work, and for a lot more pay to boot. So how come…?

Kirika: Manager.

Manager: Yes?

Kirika: I’m not here because I’m after money.

Manager: You’re not…?

Kirika: I’m here to watch over Masaki’s dream, and the dreams of all the girls in our agency.

Kirika: Each and every single one of them. How they’ll grow, how they’ll spread their wings and take flight, I want to bear witness to it.

Kirika: They were extending an offer of employment.

Kirika: That’s what I said. They wanted me to join their agency as an actress.

Haruna: Whether it’s in my lessons, or in auditions, or in whatever other little duties I have to do, I’ll give it everything I’ve got, so–

Rio: Oh, geez. You youngsters don’t need to fuss about all that tedious stuff. Just leave that to us, okay?

Rio: Did you forget who I am? I’m AiRBLUE’s ace Chief Manager! Just you wait, I’m gonna deliver a huge role right to your door any day now!

Rio: You kids just focus on your lessons so when that day comes, you knock it out of the park. You hear?
