it’s an incredibly difficult time to be homeless. I have always had the privilege and fortune of a roof over my head and a place to sleep but not everyone has the same chance. Every day I see people on the street being treated like filth, ignored and no one makes eye contact with them. Start up a conversation, a simple hello, wave and something to eat or drink can turn around someone’s day. If you have the chance, ask them what they need and what you can provide. My rule of thumb is to share a meal with someone if that’s what they need, give them some company and talk to them while you eat together and if they don’t want food or water and just money, ask them what they’ll use this for.
love is powerful and everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for.
