hello dear students! i’m so glad to be able to join you guys before the opening, i was so excited about this rp since i found it. i’m minwoo’s mun and i hope we all get along and get to develop our characters a lot. i’m still working on minwoo’s pages and i’ll probably have them ready sometime later today, but in the meanwhile i hope we can plot. under the cut there are a few facts about minwoo that might help you out or give you some ideas. let’s have fun!

minwoo is 23 and his major is creative writing;
he left korea at the age of seventeen and left for america with his mom, after she found out her husband was a cheater
minwoo loved dancing at that time and wanted to be a professional dancer, encouraged by his mom, a former american ballet dancer
btw, his mom died and he was left alone in new york, there’s a trigger warning here (and in his bio on the main page).
after his mother’s death, he discovered his passion for writing; that’s when he returned to korea
lived with his father and his new family for some time until he enrolled samseong - btw, if you’re looking for some kind of a sibling, come to me and we could work something out!
he lives in gyeok studio #801, so if you’re a neighbor let’s also plot!
academically speaking, he spends his time in the library but also at the gym and dancing - he’s part of the hip hop dance club, and also the journalist club, so YES let’s plot if you’re in any of those.
he’s bi, so you know, had a boyfriend in the past and things didn’t end well. had a girlfriend as well and they’re still friends - plots? yes!
holds an online advice journal under an alias - and i plan on actually having that journal rolling, so if you want to send things to my inbox so that minwoo can advice you out, just for fun, you can totally do it ;)

his parents were italian immigrants who ran a crappy little restaurant in los angeles (they just barely got by).
his dad was an alcoholic and his mom didn’t defend him at all from his verbal and somethings physical attacks.
when he was eighteen he and his friends were out in a storm on the beach filming a video for school and he was struck by lightning.
the medical bills sent his family over the edge and they ended up being deep in debt; his dad never let him forget it.
he moved to san francisco a year later and studied the art of tattoos, eventually making his way to norley to set up his own shop.
a really good guy in general: good listener, good cook, amazing artist, and very open minded.
he doesn’t talk about his past. if pressed enough he’ll say “it’s not a secret, i just don’t want to talk about.”
he’s never really known happiness and he’s trying his best to stop himself from reaching that.

has a lot of some substance abuse problems with coke and it is rare to find him without a cigarette between his lips.
wears hearing aids in both ears and his sight is very poor without glasses or contacts. he also has trouble sleeping most nights, his memory isn’t perfect, and can have crippling migraines. (effects of the lightning).
