Are these visual gags getting dumber and dumber? Yes. Am I gonna stop? Hell no!
But yes, I also hc Lethe as bi/pan.
More headcanons under the cut:
I hc Ranulf and Lethe as being friends since early adolescence. However, despite both being bi/pan, neither of them has ever experimented with the other. They both had a strict “no fooling around with friends” policy, to avoid complications.
Lethe isn’t quite as much of a party animal as her twin sister, but she has her moments. And while Lethe likes people regardless of gender, Lyre is strictly into men, and has a tendency to swoop in and steal any guy Lethe shows interest in. For this reason, Lethe has mostly been with women.
Lethe is totally the type of hyper-competent soft butch that can and will handle everything on her own. While many find her highly independent nature attractive, it’s not very sustainable for a long-term relationship, and Lethe often finds herself unintentionally pushing her partners away. But it’s okay, because Lethe doesn’t usually let herself get too attached.
All of this culminates in Lethe developing a reputation as someone with a fear of commitment.
When Lethe first meets Jill, she hates her. Jill is the embodiment of everything she hates about beorc. But over time, she realizes how much they have in common, and Lethe starts to develop some begrudging respect for her.
Ever observant Ranulf is the first one to notice that Lethe seems uncharacteristically occupied with Jill, and he takes a lot of joy in teasing her about her budding crush. Lethe, of course, adamantly denies everything.
I imagine that Lethe and Jill part as friends at the end of PoR, never having acknowledged to even themselves that there was potential for something more.
When they meet again in RD as enemies, it’s very bittersweet. It isn’t until Part 4, when they’re faced with the potential end of the world, that Lethe finally tries to cross that boundary.
It takes time for Jill to even realize that Lethe is courting her. They start sharing a tent, but pretend it isn’t serious, and carefully do not mention that their arrangement has a clear end date. Lethe will have to return to Gallia, and Jill to Talrega, and both of them love their homes and their responsibilities too much to abandon it all for anything, even for a chance at true love.
I do like to think that they reconcile a few years after the end of RD, but I’m still deciding how. If anyone has any ideas, please hit me up!
Thanks for reading! Sorry this one took more of a bittersweet turn.
You can read my entire Tellius Pride series in chronological order here!
He is a true spirit that now inhabits an artificial body!
You can find the list of species post here. It will include custom species, and existing species with my interpretation. [Note: that post has not been made yet.]

Lethe is intersex, he has a masculine body, but has female hormones. He uses a binder, and voice training, but otherwise is comfortable with his body. He does not mind having a more soft appearance, but is still insecure about his chest and voice.
He does not use hrt.
As a note; author is not well versed in intersex things, but I do like how Lethe is in this regard.
