Secret Snowman + Levihan 12 Days of Christmas Announcement! 🎄🎅❄

Hey Levihans!

The core content team has prepared some events to celebrate the winter holidays and first up is the highly requested Secret Snowman Gift Exchange! This will be a fan work exchange (fics, art, AMVs/edits) and you will have the chance to specify which mediums you prefer to give and receive.

Rules will be as follows:

1. In order to receive a gift, you have to give a gift

2. All works must be safe for work (SFW)

3. Gifts will be due by December 31

4. Remember to keep who you have a surprise!

Be as detailed as possible to help your snowman!

You must sign up by Wednesday, December 14 at 11:59 PM PST (pacific standard). We'll assign everyone a person based on gift-giving/ receiving preferences and send out assignments on Thursday, December 15. Feel free to let us know if you have questions in our ask box!

Here is our second main event for the season! We present to you: Levihan 12 Days of Christmas!

Starting on December 12, every day leading up to the 24th, we’ll be doing a special event every day! The prompts are as follows:

• Day 1 - Make a Levihan Holiday-Themed playlist!

• Day 2 – Draw Levihan fanart with Levihan participating in holiday festivities

• Day 3 – Share your favorite older Levihan works (before 2018)

• Day 4 – Share your story of how you came to love Levihan :))

• Day 5 – Recipe exchange! Share your favorite holiday recipes!

• Day 6 – VC event in honor of Levi’s birthday: Events include Live reading, hunger games, karaoke, and more!

• Day 7 – Make messages to your fandom friends to show your love and appreciation to them

• Day 8 – Write Levihan holiday-themed One-shots!

• Day 9 – Things you wish you knew before you encountered the fandom (a QOTD discussion)

• Day 10 – Share your favorite recent Levihan works (after 2018)

• Day 11 – Chain story in text: we will have a prompt to start, and people will reply to add on! each person’s reply continues the story

• Day 12 - What does the levihan fandom mean to you? (a QOTD discussion)

The Day 6 VC event will happen on Saturday, December 17th at 7am Pacific Daylight Time. If you would like certain fics to be read aloud for the live reading, please dm us with the following:

• the fic of your choosing

• the specific parts you would like to be read aloud

We estimate each fic to take a 20-ish minute timeslot, so be mindful of that when choosing your passages! All works for the events should be SFW :))

Better late than never! We’re hosting a third Easter Eggschange! Y'all know the drill—

How the gift exchange works:

For the Levihan Eggschange, you will be assigned a partner to give your gift to (it doesn’t have to be Easter themed)

Please make sure your inbox and IM are open so we’ll be able to communicate with you and so that your Secret Easter Bunny will be able to leave you hints anonymously

‎For this exchange in particular, you won’t be tagging your giftee in your published work—it will be your mission to let them know the gift is for them by leaving hints (like including a coded message, sending any help through ask, hiding their username somewhere, whatever you want! Basically kinda like finding an Easter Egg) and make it so that your giftee will still be able to find their own gift without you directly letting them know which one is theirs.

‎Don’t tell your giftee who you are until they have found your gift on May 10!

Info about the gifting:

All forms of works are accepted! These include but are not limited to: fanart, fanfiction, edits/graphics, gifs/animations, manga colorings, playlists, aesthetics, AMVs/videos, etc.

‎No reposting/copying/using another person’s work. We won’t reblog any submissions that you did not make personally or any work that is offensive/discriminatory.

‎Please be sure to tag accordingly if your work contains blood/gore/nsfw content.

‎For this event, we’ve set minimum requirements for the gifts. We’d appreciate that you try your best to make your work meet the following guidelines:

↳art: draw at least a fairly detailed and colored bust-sized drawing or a b/w well detailed one

↳fic: 1.5-2k words across any genre

↳gfx/gif/edit: 2 big/complex images or 4 simple/small images for the photoset

↳misc: (the above are common gift types for exchange events, but if you plan on making something else and would like to know a minimum requirement for that medium/gift type or if you just have some doubts in general, feel free to ask us. We’ll be happy to help!)

Timeline:

April 18 | Sign-ups will be closed by midnight EST. Be sure to fill up THIS FORM if you want to participate

April 20 | The mods will inform participants about their giftee/giftee’s preferences

May 4 | The mods will check in on each of the participants’ progress

May 5 to May 9 | Participants can start dropping anon hints to their giftees that can help them find their easter egg once it’s posted

‎May 10 | Time to post your gifts! Mention this blog with “@levihanweek”, tag your works with #levihaneggschange in the first five tags and send a final hint to your giftee so they can go look around and be able to find it. We’ll also be reblogging your works on this blog.

AN IMPORTANT PSA: If you feel like you cannot meet the deadline or want to drop out halfway, please message us ASAP and we will sort it out. We’d rather you be honest with us if you can’t meet the deadline than be a no-show on the day of.

INVITATION TO THE ANNUAL LEVIHAN LIVEREADING TOMORROW (23rd April, 2022)

This is the most exciting and the largest scale event we hold and we are so eager for you to join us tomorrow. The live reading tomorrow, 23rd April, 2021, will include excerpts from 15 Levihan Fanfictions all voiced read to you live on our discord server. Please remember, that to attend the event, you must join our discord server here! don't worry if you aren't used to discord, all you need to do is hop into the event voice chat and listen!
