How do you even become a part of a sex party? Genuinely want to know what to do
Alright keep in mind this was my first party so I'm not an expert and honestly I really dove into the deep end with it and should have been safer but this was my experience.
I googled kink places in my area, it helps living near a city, and found the place I ended up going to. I went on FetLife, which is a kink website that has its ups and downs and checked to make sure the place was legit. Now if you just go on Fet, you'll find events but there's no guarantee it's a good one so you gotta be selective about it. I'd recommend going to a munch first and just meeting people to start with and then they'll tell you what the good places to go are and you can see if there's anyone you vibe with.
I didn't do that. I bought a ticket to go well in advance and messaged the host. She had me submit a picture just to confirm I wasn't pretending to be someone else (she was very strict on letting men into the events so I believe if I had been a guy I would have also needed people to vouch for me too). We talked about what would make me feel comfy and she was very nice about it because she knew how hard it was being a single woman going to kink/sex parties.
I ended up going VERY FUCKING EARLY to the event to help set up and get to know the host and other "helpers" and because with my anxiety I like to settle in and know everything that's going on before I have to pretend that crowds don't scare the shit out of me.
By the time the event started my goal was to just make friends with people and not look awkward as fuck the entire time or cling to the host/other people I'd met because I didn't want someone's night of fun to be ruined having to babysit my awkward ass. One guy (the one who ended up fucking me lol) was actually very sweet and ended up guiding me away from sitting by myself and introducing me to this group of people who were all super lovely and who I later had the orgy with lol.
