Yes of course! It's a very worthy cause, especially to give back to a team who usually gives so much for to the community. I'll leave the link below for anyone else who is interested in donating, theres a lot more information on the page about why they need this extra revenue to keep the club alive and in good shape after the impact of Corona, and what's also cool is that if they hit their target grants will more than double what's been donated!
As an extra incentive there's a lot of prizes to be won from a chance to win a signed Megan Rapinoe shirt to an interview with the players to floodlights naming rights. Definitely a very worthy cause to donate to if anyone can!!
We need to replace our ageing floodlights, installed fifty years ago! New toilets in our bar and pitch improvements are also long overdue.
Arsenal v. Lewes - FA Cup
You know what I’m avoiding Uni work so I’ll write a synopsis of today’s match.
Going into this game I knew and I would say we all knew that Arsenal would get the win. Lewes are a part time side and there was no real probability of them beating the WSL champions. That being said they didn’t make it easy.
Arsenal’s starting lineup wasn’t their best but honestly that was the best decision especially with the small squad made even smaller by injuries.
Arsenal kept the majority of the possession, with most of it in Lewes half. That being said Lewes were defensively solid. They made it difficult for Arsenal to get through to the box and when they did, Lewes had at least three or four bodies in the box making a clear shot near impossible.
Lewes player Hayes seemed to be in the way of any shot that keeper Harris wouldn’t of been able to get. Hayes also seemed to take the job of being Foord’s shadow very seriously meaning she couldn’t get on the ball.
Lewes had one or two good chances on the break but luckily for Arsenal losing possession was one of Lewes best qualities in this game.
When a goal did eventually come it was not pretty, it was after a deflection of a shot from DvD, that being said a goal is a goal.
I would say, in my unprofessional opinion, that Arsenal looked strongest after Viv and Lisa were subbed on. The team was more attacking and it’s probably no coincidence that Viv had a hand in that second goal and could of had a third herself.
This game showed just how much range in quality Arsenal have and not in a good way. Some players weren’t having good games and at times watching them was painful as they had all the power but not the goals to prove that. If they played the way they did today in the league they’d be lucky to get a draw.

Further info about the early postponement - most sensible decision for everyone given the forecast and the heavy rainfall already sustained this weekend. The point about Lewes (team and fans) making a loss is particularly important - means they're not making a wasted journey and losing out doubly.
