I'm not sure how it works in the US, but in our country, generally the court will exclude witnesses from hearing the testimony of one of their fellow witnesses, to avoid people who intentionally or subconsciously change their stories to fit someone else's. It's entirely possible that James didn't hear Lena's testimony at all. For all he knew, she was testifying for Lex and not against him. Of course I'm sure there would have been media coverage of what she said /after/ the trial, so it still 1/2
I believe it’s the same here. But as a member of the press, and a friend of Clark Kent, I find it hard to believe he would have been completely ignorant of her involvement. That kind of trial twist would have been front page news. Well, right behind Lex murdering the courtroom. But hey.
And again, James did mention he had “Lex baggage”, and babe– “baggage” is the understatement of the century. Because you know he didn’t get therapy for it.
