In our Software Design and Engineering course, the first task we worked on was Activity 1, which focused on figuring out the hardware requirements. The project manager asked me to split up this task among our team members since he would handle Activity 3.4.2, which covers the software requirements. I quickly assigned parts of the hardware task to each team member and also completed my part of the work. This was our first activity in the Software Design and Engineering (SDE) course. It was a bit easier since it was an introductory task, but we still made sure to work on it as a team. By working together, we ensured everyone contributed and got the job done, setting a good start for the tasks ahead.
During our second laboratory session, even though Sir Carl had already provided a video link covering Lesson 1, he still took the time to go over the material in class. This served not only as a discussion but also as a way to review and ensure that we had watched the video. After the discussion, we were given an activity to complete and present within 30 minutes. This task was designed to challenge our critical thinking skills and assess how well we could solve problems under time pressure. It turned out to be a fun activity because we worked together as a team, and our collaboration made the presentation a success.
After class, our team consulted with Sir Carl to review Activity 1 and see what revisions we needed to make. Following the consultation, we found a few minor revisions were needed, and we plan to address them as soon as possible so that we can submit the activity through USTEP.
