Parents: Drystan Mercer - Father (Deceased): At one time, Drystan’s name was on many lips in Ul’dah. A native to Ala Mhigo, chased away after the Garlean occupation. The man earned himself a name as a gladiator on the Bloodsands, where he gained some small amount of fame. It was there he found his wife, and together they had a son. Drystan disappeared from the public eye around that time, amidst myriad rumours following the death of his wife.
Selene Mercer - Mother (Deceased): A native to Ul’dah, Selene earned her fame in the Bloodsands, coming to be known by her gladiatorial name, “The Iron Wolf of Ul’dah”. Between her and her love, she was always the most exceptional fighter in the pit, and a rough exterior that belied her kind centre. Her death following the birth of her son was a true tragedy.

Pets: August - Chocobo: The name of Rufus’s personal chocobo, whom he raised as a chick upon receiving him as a present for Starlight some years past.
Pubert - Demon Brick: A sentient brick with feet, wings, and a tail. Given to him as a prize some years prior in an All Saint’s Wake costume contest. Owing to the fact it is a brick, it does not need feeding and as such is so low-impact of a pet that Rufus is content to let it wobble around his home forever.
Winston - Clown Fish: A fish Rufus bought once on a whim. He keeps him in an aquarium in his room.

Explorer and Wanderer - Rufus has a love for wandering the roads and paths of Eorzea -- and beyond. It would be expected then, that he runs into some fairly colourful characters upon his travels, which are of themselves oft fraught with dangers! But a delight for one with a heart for adventure.
His Past - Those who have delved into the history of the Bloodsands long enough would perchance know of Rufus’s epithet, and from whence it originated. Not to mention the tragedy that the “Iron Wolf” represents.
Mentor - Do you have a spudling character who wants to learn the fundamentals or advanced techniques of swordplay? From shortsword to longsword, even to greatsword, Rufus has spent many years of his life studying swordsmanship in its myriad aspects.
Food - Rufus is a self-appointed gourmet. It would be well expected of the man to visit restaurants or places famed to have interesting and unique food for him to try.
Sword for Hire - Given his extensive training in the ways of combat, and his penchant for protecting others, Rufus can make for an able bodyguard for persons or caravans.
Voidsent Hunter - As it is in his job title, if you are having an issue or two with spooky happenings and have a need for someone to come and sort things out, don’t be afraid to give this one a shout!

In-Game over Discord - I definitely prefer to have the game as a background to RP but I understand that can’t be helped sometimes, so I can totally go for Discord RP too.
EU Timezone - What it says there. I live in Scotland so I’m on GMT (+0) or BST (+1) in the summer.
Scheduling - Up until, and even when, I go back to Uni, I will pretty much have availability on most - if not every - day of the week. So don’t be afraid to schedule something if you have to! I’ll do my best to suit your needs.
