Burlesque
I am officially a burlesque dancer. I finished my first major performance (in what I feel was drag, i.e. a dress and full makeup.) I dropped a bunch of crap on stage and ate way too many donuts in between acts, but I did it. It helps having other men, including drag queens, in our troupe. There are also two other trans people, one man and one woman. Everyone is incredibly supportive. It’s refreshing to be able to use the same changing room and despite being early in my transitioning, I’m still “he” while I’m not playing a female role on stage. I’m eager to keep performing now, in whatever clothes strike me :)
