Empty Thirst
I’m sure you are all aware of that empty feeling inside,
If you have never felt it, fucking lucky you.
That unceasing emptiness that infests parts of our waking hours. For some time to time, for others more routinely. Of course there are plenty ways to fill that hole; religion, work, spiritually, sex, food, drugs and so on, but regardless of the plug you subscribe to, have you ever embraced that longing, that suffering, to learn to listen to it, to its calling?
Understanding/misunderstanding the reasons we feel this emptiness and whether or not we enlarge it, is a huge catalyst for why we do everything in life.
It’s a strange combination of feeling empty and not knowing how to quench that thirst our being craves.
It’s the starving, the famine, the malnourished part of us that never dies, rather increases in strength the less we find ways to listen to its grumble. A stubborn twin that lives inside of us, childlike, that we roam to feed. Finding what we and it needs to be quieted.
