okay so i feel like liam is HELLA intense while on the job and he def does not have time for doing anything but work when he’s on the clock and idk he can even be a bit of a hardass bUT he’s def way more chill after hours and I can see him going out w/ some of the other cops for a beer or whatever after work and idk ACTUALLY smiling/laughing sometimes ;DD ANYWAY I do think that he’d really like Nick + I can see them getting on pretty well most of the time??

um these two wow?!??!!? i feel like they definitely know each other and i really don’t think that liam likes david that much. I feel like Liam knows a lot of people who have been down on their luck and then got kicked out of the place or whatever b/c they couldn’t pay David and like stuff like that doesn’t sit well w/ Liam. I mean, he knows that David is running a business not a charity but I think there’s been a lot of situations where Liam would have cut ppl slack and David hasn’t haha. 

All that being said, he’s still a citizen of this town and he’s being robbed and so Liam is v dedicated to figuring out what’s going on there and returning his stolen property, etc. Although it’s being less and less of a priority now that ppl are dying/going missing. 

I also think that Liam is kinda suspicious of David?? Kind of in the same way that Nick is suspicious of Elias like he would NOT be surprised to find out that he’s involved in some kind of illegal dealings but ofc he has no proof or anything but I think he also kinda has his eye on him.

all liam wants is for everyone to be safe and happy

yes, yes it is

he’s always tried to do the right thing

he doesn’t always know what that is but he tries 

he’s always looked out for other people, but especially those who can’t defend themselves

the rhodes have lived in this town since forever and liam loves it here

he literally loves everything about it

except for the serial killer??

and the random disappearing ppl

not to mention the damn art thieves

he’s literally married to his job

and this peak in crime isn’t exactly making it easy for him to do anything else

he takes his job VERY seriously. it’s definitely his #1 priority and he basically has a “i’ll sleep when the streets are clean” mentality but there’s always gonna be cases that go unsolved so liam is always going to be working

when liam was in college he had a one night stand with lorraine pennington and whoops nine months later he had a kid

liam has never been the kind of guy to have one night stands so ofc the one time he did, he became a father

he was determined to do the right thing for the kid, so he married lorraine

it was probably one of the most hasty decisions he’s ever made

still even though it didn’t work out, he doesn’t regret it

while he knows that the divorce couldn’t have been fun for peter, they were able to give him an early childhood where they were all together and liam hopes that that was better than nothing

tbh he really wanted to stick out the marriage at least until peter was eighteen but lol that didn’t exactly happen

anyway, peter means the world to him and he def fought tooth and nail to get custody but in the end, he lost and now he only gets peter on every other weekend

tbh it might be better that way b/c even tho peter is literally the most important thing in the world to liam, his job will always come first (this is mostly BC he cares so much for peter that he’s determined to make this town a good place for him to grow up, but at the same time, peter’s had to suffer for it)

i feel like liam is the parent who always arrives hours late for award ceremonies/science fairs/whatever peter’s doing and most of the time misses peter if he gets there at all

he REALLY does try tho and he makes a point to take off every other weekend (doesn’t always work out but y’know) so he can do things with peter when he comes by

he loves taking him camping/fishing/hiking and showing him things 

liam also just likes to ~escape~ and clear his head, too, from time to time

he believes in second, but not third, chances

uses violence only as a last resort

is VERY serious on the job but def more laid back when he isn’t on duty

he gets very dialed in when he’s at work and idk he’s pretty intense 

literally has like zero chill at work tbh

holds himself and the other officers to very high standards

He’s soooo incredibly proud of Peter

brags about him a lot tbh

Liam is alone most of the time and he’s cool w/ that but he’d be lying if he said that coming home to a dark, empty house doesn’t get lonely

when he’s not working and he doesn’t have peter he really has NO idea what to do with himself

what??? is???? relaxing?????

when he has time off and he’s alone he probably just works anyway smh
